Israeli TV-2 won’t air the interview with Yigal Amir because the Prison Service alleged he was interviewed without its authorization. That’s quite a freedom of speech. Yigal Amir was punished for his interview with solitary confinement in Beersheba prison.

I read the C.N.N. article with reference to the interviews that were conducted with Yigal Amir; freedom of speech is not universal and the level of censorship varies from region to region but, it seems that someone wants to hide something from the public which was revealed from the interview. It’s sad that the media refers to the day of Yitzhak Rabin’s untimely demise as an, “anniversary”; the 13th year to the date he was killed should more appropriately referred to as a, “memorial”, because that date should be remembered as a tragic day for a very articulated and intelligent person and for his family who tried to make the world a more civilized and peaceful place to live within.
The irony, hipocrisy and stupidity of the situation is that after Mr. Rabin’s demise; former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon implemented many aspects of the Oslo Accords provisions anyway. Also, if Mr. Yitzhak Rabin did implement his plans, Israel would have gained much more by now; many of his opponents were focused on the short term loss rather than the long term gain but, that’s their stupidity.
When Israel had been fighting for it’s survival, how could Rabin have been using troops to search for his wife’s diamond in the desert. It was absolutely riduculous.
