Following on Ehud Barak’s promises to Rice, the IDF dismantled the roadblock near Taiba village. The previous time when that roadblock was left unmanned, Palestinians shot a Jewish woman there in 2002 after which the roadblock was immediately reinstated.

I guess it is like that traffic light on the corner. You can’t get one until enough people die then all of a sudden it is, “Oh I think we need a traffic light here”. When the community perpetually requests a traffic light because there is too much traffic on the road and they are in fear of their children and neighbors saftey. Sad but true….
