Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu confirmed the story of a woman miraculously appearing before IDF troops in Gaza to warn them of booby-trapped houses. According to the immensely authoritative rabbi, he prayed at Rachel’s tomb to that end.
As Ben Gurion once quipped, in this land the ultimate realists believe in miracles.

Are you serious? This rabbi is at least a wacko. Just to begin. What else? Holy Mary will say us where the bunker is?
Not necessarily
Wait Danny: do you really believe this issue about Rachel appearing and helping the troops?
And this person telling he sent her?
I definitely believe this story. In past wars the Jewish soldiers witnessed miracles of help from God. God often protects His people. That land was given to the jews as an everlasting covenant. Would our Almighty Father therefore not give His protection?
There is a film called “Against all odds” which records these miracles in the 6-day war and other conflicts when more than one arab nation has attacked the fledgeling nation of Israel, they were grossly outnumbered, but they were delivered with divine help. There are many amazing miracles on record.
Miracles of the 6 day war might only be rumours of course but on the other hand various things happen in this world. SO, no one will ever say for sure whether it happened or not. But miracles of the 6 day war will be in people’s minds.
Perhaps more military rabbis like Rabbi Dov Lior, for example, would’t believe it. But this one who is more focused on God might have seen it.
The story of miracles of six-day war doesn’t stir any kind of belief. Most likely this is simply a hallucination of an elderly Rabbi and nothing more. The story of miracles of six-day war is just an imagination of people who are extremely tired of fighting.
Judging by Lebanon news, no wonder people had such mirages due to the number of casualties from Jews.
