The New head of the Council of Settlements is Naftali Bennett. A very smart and basically decent person, Bennett served as Netanyahu’s chief of staff.
Bennett is not religious and did not live in the settlements, and is thus unlikely to establish working relations with the settlers. His appointment takes the gloves off the government’s relations with settlers: no more pretense of the Council opposing the government’s policy of asphyxiating the settlements.
So many mistakes in such a short piece….
Naftali Bennett was not appointed as Yesha Council head but as its Director. The head is its Chairman, Danny Dayan.
Bennett IS religious, and that thing about Yesha pretending bla bla bla is utter nonsense
