During the election campaign, Liberman sensibly demanded that Mubarak should come to Jerusalem if he wants to talk to Israel, rather than summon Israeli officials to Cairo—or else he can “go to hell.”
Upon taking over the Foreign Ministry, Lieberman praised Mubarak as Israel’s key partner and expressed hope to visit him in Cairo soon.
It is hardly coincidental that Netanyahu’s government took office on the Fool’s Day.
