The Israeli FM compared the Swedish government’s refusal to condemn the organ harvesting story to the apology Sweden extended to Pakistan over the Mohammed cartoons.
The cases are different. The cartoons, although protected by freedom of expression, contain negligible information, while the organ-harvesting story is full of information protected under the freedom of speech. For the Swedish government to condemn the story means stifling the debate without investigating its merits.
No less foolishly, Israeli Internal Minister Yishai suspended new visas to all Swedish journalists. A great way indeed to build rapport, and to dispel allegations of collective punishment. The journalists, as Scandinavian citizens, need no visa to enter Israel, and can enter Gaza from Egypt.
Once again, the people in charge has proven to be complete idiots. I can’t wait til’ the 80s generation take over. Until then the youngsters in the middle east, the US, China and Europe can just lay back and party while the foolish older generation make their tiring arguments.

News on Israeli ambassadors have been really depressing lately. And as for Sweden it’s extremely difficult for Israel to find a compromise with this country.
Sweden “freedom of speech” has caused so many problems already that perhaps the government should give a second thought to censorship, at least to the lightest one. Sweden “freedom of speech” insults other people’s feelings but they’re expected to accept it as it is.
The news that Libya purchases weapons from Russia provokes a stronger reaction than this disgusting behavior of Sweden.
