Israeli government opposes peace with Gaza

After Hamas offered ceasefire, Israel immediately launched a large incursion into Gaza involving tanks and aircraft. Arab guerrillas responded with heavy fire from automatic rifles, mortars and RPGs. One RPG hit Israeli tank, defying the tales of the IDF installing the impenetrable Trophy active defense system.
The Arab guerrillas engaged the Jewish forces professionally and courageously.
Supported by tanks and aircraft, IDF arrested several dozen Arab resistance members who refused to flee their homes.
The IDF operation, touted as targeting “terrorist infrastructure,” demolished a gas station in Gaza.
