The $680 million in US aid for the Iron Dome was said to be enough to buy us three or four additional batteries. Yet, the cost of each battery is about $50 million. So the question is, where did half a billion dollars go?

US aid for the Iron Dome is no aid at all

We are used to cynicism of American politicians, who call their $2 billion payments to Israel “aid.” In fact, it’s an underpayment for removing Israel from the US arms-export market and using Israel as a barking dog under American control in order to gain concessions from the Arabs.

In return for the $680 million in aid the US provided for development of the Iron Dome, the White House requested access to the interceptor’s technologies, which cost many times more than their ‘aid.’

A third North Korean nuclear test is now widely expected. Though most analysts expect an underground test, we consider an open-air test quite possible. The communists now need to demonstrate their power as clearly as possible, and that is what Iran wants to pay for, to snub the White House. Since the US allegedly brought down the North Korean ballistic missile during its crucial test, and the Koreans uncharacteristically kept silent about imperialist forces disrupting their military program, an open-air test of a plutonium bomb would suit the communists and ayatollahs best. The US is pretending that nothing new has happened.

Meanwhile, the US Congress is debating whether to boost aid for Israel to manufacture the Iron Dome. The idea is to help the Jews to protect their ghetto, which is threatened by tens of thousands of rockets from Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria. In return, we are not to attack them to destroy their arsenals preemptively, which is obviously a cheaper and more reliable tactic than protecting ourselves with interceptor batteries.

US visas – the greatest danger to Israeli survival

The US Congress approves E2 visas to Israeli investors, essentially a green card for businessmen. Ostensibly a goodwill gesture, it actually increases Israel’s brain drain. When our corrupt socialist government refuses to let enterprising Jews develop our country, easy access to the United States will prompt Israelis to abandon our state.

We can win a war with Iran, but easy entry into the United States would leave Israel a desert.

The Dialog poll confirmed the expected: some 58% of Israelis oppose attacking Iran with the White House’s permission. About a third of Israelis oppose attacking Iran in any case.

Jews have that urge to believe in someone. If not in God, then in Obama.

Elections cause Obama to favor non-aggression towards Iran

A new poll indicates that while most Americans support military action against Iran, the numbers of those who favor American involvement is decreasing. Statements that Iran could attack American interests are having an effect.

When asked if Israel should attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, its about 50 percent for, and 42 percent undecided. So the overwhelming majority of Americans favor an Israeli strike on Iran.

When asked if the US should confront a nuclear-armed Iran, more than 70 percent opted against it, insisting instead on isolating Iran. At the same time, they thought it impossible to get an international consensus to isolate Iran.

When asked if the US should stop financial support of Israel if this support caused conflict with a nuclear-armed Iran it was about 50/50. This figure is projected to increase once the US is faced with a nuclear-armed Iran.

The type of poll and timing might indicate that Obama will use GOP’s tactics against them next November. If the Obama Administration can successfully project that a nuclear-armed Iran is a danger to US interests if provoked, then he could run on a non-aggression-with-Iran platform, which would buy him votes. This would be similar to his 2008 campaign, in which he succeeded by promising a fast US withdraw from Iraq.

Plainly put, if Iran gets a nuclear bomb, it would be good politics for Obama to drop his support for Israel and play the voice of reason and peace for American voters. This would be in contrast to the GOP candidates, most of whom have already committed to support an Israeli air strike.

Canada supports bombing Iran

Prime Minister Stephen Harper openly complained in a cabinet meeting that the US State Department was leaning on Canada in its upcoming negotiations with Israel to discourage a preemptive strike by Israel on Iranian nuclear facilities. He also felt that there was no way in hell the US would attack Iran’s nuclear facilities on its own, and that Obama was prepared to have a nuclear Iran. This might explain why Harper is trying to lead Canada into its own strong relationship with Israel without undue American influence, and why we see very little in Canadian media about the frequent visits to Israel by Canadian cabinet ministers over the last three months.

American public supports bombing Iran – but quickly

A major polling company conducted a telephone survey in the US followed by group psychology. One of the questions was the timing of US military action in the Middle East and its effect on the presidential election. It seems that successful (for election purposes) action can take place up to the end of March. After that date there is risk that an invasion could be used as a negative platform to attack Obama. Surprisingly, the majority of voters would support action by US Forces following an Israeli lead as long as there was no actual invasion. Belligerent rhetoric from Iran and rising gas prices have induced in the American people a short-term angst towards the Iranian leadership. The general consensus is that it would be better to get it done and over with.

The US is only rhetorically harder on terrorists than Israel

Responding to petitioning from US citizens whose family members had fallen victim to Palestinian terrorists released in the Shalit affair, the US Attorney General insisted that his government intends to bring them to justice, and that in any case the American embassy urged the Israeli government not to release the perpetrators.

While all that is true, the United States has never prosecuted even one Palestinian terrorist for murdering US citizens in Israel.
