What nonsense. Israeli-Arab conflict is the best thing America has in the Middle East. Arabs need the US only because it controls their nemesis Israel. By arbitrating Israeli-Arab conflict America maintains its role in the Middle East. By pushing Israel for concessions America can extract concessions from Arabs for itself.

And of course the seven-year-long American war in Iraq does not hurt its relations with Arabs.

If only Israel could break that bond and conduct policy independently.

It remains a mystery why Clinton did not instead push Abbas to accept the plans. Everyone understands that they won’t be carried out for years, if ever. Abbas is hugely dependent on US aid and political support. The PA is a burden on the US, while Israel is an ally.

So why push Netanyahu?

As usual, Biden called on Israel to take “bold steps” toward peace—that is, offer still more staggering concessions to our sworn enemies.

Like everyone else in the world, Biden condemned Israeli construction plans in Ramat Shlomo, Jerusalem. Unveiling the plan on the date of Biden’s visit to Israel could hardly be a coincidence as the government claims, but is more likely a well-deserved slap in his face.

Though many commentators mistake the VP for Israel’s best friend in the otherwise hostile Obama administration, Biden has supported Iran on many occasions, and has defended Iran’s right to a nuclear bomb.

Obama first demanded that Israel accept peace talks with our Palestinian enemies as a condition of American support against Iran. Now, with Russia and China opposing any meaningful sanctions, US support remains illusory, but Israel is still forced to uphold the construction moratorium.

Oh yeah, we would love to see Hillary Clinton rush to meet fringe Israeli MKs on a private tour of America.

To reinforce his message, Obama also sent Joe Biden, who will tell us that the worthless sanctions will somehow work, and that they will work so fast that Iran won’t complete its bomb.

Israeli participation in the conference is pointless: Jews do not engage in nuclear proliferation.

By exposing Israel’s illegal nuclear program, Obama deliberately puts the Jewish state on the same footing with Iran. Obama’s plan is to prevent Israel from pushing him too hard on Iran.

Sure, let’s do something bold, like abandoning Jerusalem. Perhaps that would please Hamas terrorists enough that they would recognize the State of Israel.

At $130 million a piece, the planes will be too expensive to risk in combat anyway. Israel sees the jets mostly as the only way to spend US military aid which must be used to purchase American armaments. Israel just does not need that many American weapons and routinely uses part of the aid for items which are only nominally military, such as packed foods.

The United States is not going to take the reciprocal measure of closing the bank accounts of Israeli citizens who likewise evade taxes.

The Hussein sent the Jews ludicrous Hanukkah greetings. He called Hanukkah, a victory of ultra-Orthodox Jews in a brutal civil war against liberals, a festival “for people of all faiths,” though the Maccabeans gladly exterminated those faiths in the Land of Israel.

Without realizing it, Obama gave good advice to real Jews: “May Hanukkah’s lessons inspire us.” Wonderful advice, indeed, for those who know their history.

According to the same poll, 60% of respondents believe that Obama does not support Israel. Thus, 21% of Israeli Jews refuse to dislike a leader who openly dislikes them.

Obama, too, urged Israel to defend Sderot by any means—when he was here during his election campaign.

Truth be told, Israeli leaders also become dovish and anti-Semitic upon entering office.

The answer is really simple: if a Gazan wants to study in the West Bank, she must register her residence there.

It’s time for the Israeli Embassy in Washington to barrage the White House with humanitarian inquires over poor Mexicans who were refused US visas—or worse, were deported.

The embassy is concerned that the Knesset might hold a ceremony commemorating slain Rabbi Meir Kahane, a former Knesset member. Such ceremonies are customary for all assassinated MKs, but were never held for the Rabbi.

In truth, Ben Ari couldn’t get a visa for the same reason his mentor Rabbi Kahane was banned from the United States, Canada, and Britain, the same reason that Moshe Feiglin recently encountered a similar ban: the freedom of speech is reserved for the politically correct.

A very long meeting (one hour and forty minutes) followed Obama’s initial refusal to meet Netanyahu.

From the meeting’s secrecy, and the fact that the White House staff did not know until the last minute whether the photo-op would be conducted, we can conclude that the Netanyahu-Obama meeting was largely related to Iran, and that it was very tense.

Bad relations with Obama must be especially insulting to Netanyahu, who highly praised Obama when he was a lowly senator, and predicted his presidency.

Obama’s refusal to meet the Israeli PM contrasts with his availability to Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and large political donors.

Obama is equally offended by Israeli and Palestinian rejections of his peace overtures.

Hagel has gone on record with seriously anti-Israeli views.

The FBI, it turns out, tempted a man who would certainly cooperate with it. Very likely, Nozette participated in the sting knowingly in return for a lenient sentence on his fraud charges.

The only goal of such a sting operation could be to cause negative publicity for Israel.

The case is not unlike Pollard’s—a Jew of known Zionist views was put in charge of Department of Defense information which should have been delivered to Israel but was illegally withheld from her. Pollard was arrested when he provided Israel with information which the US had undertaken to provide but didn’t.

Polls indicate that a mere 4% of Israelis trust Obama.

In fact, the Gush Katif debacle was entirely Sharon’s initiative, and it shocked Bush.

Israel will predictably acquit herself in the investigation, prompting the UNHRC to refer the matter to the ICC. The very fact of the investigation stamps Israel as probably guilty of war crimes—and who will remember the word “probably”?

It follows from Obama’s speech that both new and old construction in all Israeli settlements—and the Kenyan numbers East Jerusalem among these—are illegal to the US administration.

Obama has thus rescinded Clinton’s and Bush’s approval for most settlements, and returned to Carter’s hard-line stance.

The General Assembly greeted Obama’s pronouncement with the loudest applause during his entire speech. The one thing which unites this world is anti-Semitism.

Most visitors are ultra-leftists or accomplices of Arab terrorists.

For some reason, the United States denies entrance to those with Mexican but not American visas. Israel, however, should leave the Palestinian-occupied territories, but must allow visitors to Palestine unhindered access to the Jewish state.

Never mind that subservient Jews respect US justice and proceed with the extradition of Israeli citizens at the FBI’s request.

The twenty-unit house in question clearly does not affect the political reality in East Jerusalem, where Palestinians have built thousands of units illegally. Western governments habitually accede to Arab demands that Jews not be allowed to own real estate in Muslim countries.

Very few countries extradite their citizens for foreign prosecution. Israel was once famous for catagorically refusing to extradite Jews, insisting on our right to try them.

The variety of visitors shows that they are not coming to fine-tune the political fallout from an Israeli strike on Iran, which clearly would be a secret matter. The presence of military officials, on other hand, has little to do with the purported changes in Obama’s Middle East policy.

We suspect that by now Obama is becoming hysterical, as all his foreign initiatives have failed. Israelis reject his demands to halt settlement construction, and the Arabs refuse to make any  of the gestures toward Israel that Obama asked them for.

The Hussein is stalled in his pressure on Israel. By now he probably understands that Rahm Emanuel’s advice to pressure Israel was misguided, but he knows of no alternative. His recent anti-Semitic suggestion to Jewish prominents that they “engage in self-reflection” suggests that his ultra-left anti-Israeli views still hold, but he is less eager to push Israel directly, and will leave the matter to Jewish leftists.

The coming week’s pilgrimage of American officials to Jerusalem is not a sign of Obama’s new policy, but rather of his complete indecisiveness—he is fishing for a solution.

After the US failed to stop North Korean, Pakistani, and Iranian nuclear programs, who would believe it would attack a nuclear Iran in response to the mullahs’ nuking Israel?

The US-Israeli rift is greatly over-touted, as the row is limited to State Department officials.

Jews can build even in the United Arab Emirates, but not in the territories, which might fall into Palestinian hands. At the same time, Arabs—including foreign ones—invest heavily in Israeli real estate.

A diplomatic demarche over a private development project is totally outrageous, especially from a supposedly friendly state.

The State Department claims that it wants to avoid prejudging Israeli-Palestinian negotiations on Jerusalem. The diplomats exhibit no similar concern for any other torn regions anywhere in the world.

The State Department’s attitude toward Jews has not changed since World War II, when it stalled even Roosevelt’s meager efforts at saving the Jews.

The Arabs will see Obama’s words as a betrayal. They have gotten the impression that he has sided with them, and that unlike previous presidents, he is prepared to take on Israel. Any demands on Arabs, however reasonable, will now be seen as evidence of Obama’s inability to push Israel to make concessions.

There is a possibility that things will turn in Israel’s favor as Palestinians come to loggerheads with Obama over the peace process and the other Arabs become frustrated with his inaction in the face of the Iranian threat.

The PLO spends US aid as it wishes while Israel has to spend it for American weapons, which cost three to five times more than comparable Russian ones.

Egypt got $1.55 billion and Jordan got $660 million.

The aid pales in comparison to the appropriations for the useless war in Iraq.

The $3 billion a year Israel receives in American aid costs us much more in lost military export contracts.

This is a face-saving measure for Obama. The Arabs will fail to deliver anything in response to the Israeli gesture, such as easing the boycott. The construction moratorium will expire without damaging Obama’s reputation for being able to control Israel.

On other hand, the settlement freeze undermines Israel’s plans to annex the settlement blocs. By freezing construction, she implicitly accepts the eventual transfer of the settlement blocs to the Arabs.

Why does Israel, a developed country, plead for a mere $37 million? The only reason is political: her government wants to prove the country’s dependence on the United States.

Naturally, other countries side with Muslims rather than Jews. The only way for Jews to win international respect is to prove by military means that Arabs are  irrelevant.
