Even in a minimalist reading, abandoning that construction would mean evicting 650,000 Jews from the areas settled after we repelled the Arab invasion in 1967.

All Israeli lands beyond the 1947 UN border are technically ‘occupied.’  Ban’s reading of history would leave Israel without the Western Wall and a third of the Jewish population living in the territories, which were occupied during the Independence War.

We fail to grasp why Ban remains unconcerned about the US occupation of Texas, New Mexico, and California. Nor did he tell the Russians anything about their occupation of Konigsberg or the Kuril Islands during his visit to Moscow.

About one thousand times more Africans have succeeded in infiltrating Israel.

And what is an alternative to killing them? If, at great expense, Israeli Border Police were to intercept and deport them, the Africans would cross again the next day. Jailing them is not option: Israeli prisons are better than Eritrean hotels.

Sanctions on Iran would work against Israel: they would make an attack on Iran less palatable, but would not stop Iran from pursuing nuclear weapons. Sanctions distract the West from the need for real measures against the ayatollahs.

The same kind of sanctions might one day be applied to Israel for her rogue nukes, apartheid, and occupation. If anything, the FM needs to collaborate with the ayatollahs to de-legitimize UN sanctions and make the West averse to using them.

Israel’s investigation, according to Ban, was not independent or credible. Clearly, a government cannot be impartial investigating its own army.

Strangely, Allied prosecutors did not roam post-Nazi Germany asking the locals if they had any complaints against the occupying troops.

The UN won’t pay Israel for the damage inflicted by Palestinian terrorists who were hiding in UNRWA buildings and camps in Gaza.

The only thing Obama managed to push through was a Western grant of $30 billion to developing countries, including China. His constituents, who are going through their worst economic crisis in seventy years, must be happy that to see him squander their tax dollars in this way.

Peres made Israel into one of the few countries to commit itself to specific reductions in emissions. Israel’s enemies twenty miles from Tel Aviv will continue to spoil the skies.

Copenhagen was an attempt by leftists to establish international control. The leftists’ policies are not about welfare (reductions in emissions bring economic hardship) or rational science (the rationale for climate change is fake), but meant to establish unprecedented control over the global economy.

The EU essentially sided with the Muslims by urging Israel to prosecute her “war criminals.”

In a feat of hypocrisy, the GA’s resolution was introduced by Egypt—Israel’s major ally in the Gaza war. Egypt deceived Hamas with last-minute negotiations just before Israel launched the offensive, and closed the Rafah border with Gaza during the entire campaign.
When Egypt ruled Gaza from 1948 to 1967, it customarily shelled civilian centers with artillery to pacify the Palestinians.

The UNHRC’s special reporter on the right to adequate housing has launched an investigation of New York City.

The investigation will allow UNSC members a pretext to block the report from being sent to the International Criminal Court.

But why would the UN prosecute Hamas when world powers engage it in the political process? The US ignores the deaths of dozens of its peaceful citizens in Hamas terrorist attacks.

Though such an investigation might theoretically preclude a hearing by the International Criminal Court, the Goldstone report preemptively impeached any such inquiry as biased.

Israel sensibly counts on the UNSC to block the Goldstone report on its way to the ICC because no world power wants to establish a precedent of prosecution which might endanger its own army.

Israel, mind you, “violated” the ceasefire by planting spy devices in Lebanon. A million violations by Hezbollah are not worth the UN’s attention.

Resolution 1701 has never been observed, as Hezbollah keeps rearming itself and Israel still conducts aerial raids into Lebanon.

Lebanon is not an UNHCR member, but the four other countries either supported the Goldstone report or abstained from voting on it.

El Baradei and the IAEA received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005, while IAEA chose to ignore Iran’s jump-starting of its nuclear program.

El Baradei’s stance seem toindicate that Egypt has given up on destroying Iran’s nuclear program and has instead opted for rapprochement with the nuclear mullahs.

The UNHRC resolution went further than Goldstone himself, and did not mention Hamas and possibly PLO war crimes as the report does.

Russia and China voted to support the resolution, as did other paragons of human rights, including Saudi Arabia and Zambia. India also supported the resolution despite its own problems with Muslims. Britain and France refrained from voting after Netanyahu’s government refused to give them assurances that it would investigate the Goldstone report on its own. Burkina Faso abstained after receiving aid from Israel.

The UNHRC will endorse the Goldstones report today, despite opposition from civilized countries.

Barak has a deep interest in averting a hearing at International Criminal Court, since he does not want to end up on the same bench with real war criminals. Sudan, a leading voice in the UNHRC, supports Goldstone feverishly as repayment to Israel and America for the ICC warrant for the arrest of Sudan’s leader on charges of genocide in Darfur.

It is odd that world leaders have to be convinced at all. Everyone understands that Israel has been acting mildly in Gaza and the ICC prosecution would hamper every civilized country’s anti-terrorist efforts. Still they side with Arabs, leftists, and anti-Semites, so that Barak has to plead with them for common sense.

Though UNHRC usually passes resolutions critical of Israel easily, this time the stakes are too high: UNHRC might send the case to the International Criminal Court. Still, the US apparently lacks sufficient leverage to stop the Muslim-dominated UNHRC from adopting the most radical resolution.

Instead of resorting to fervent lobbying, Israeli would do well to stand trial in the Hague and either prove its right to fight terrorists, or establish a precedent so harmful to all civilized states fighting terrorists that the ICC will be dismantled. On other hand, the ICC’s acquittal of Israel would happen quietly, while the damaging news of Jews tried in the Hague would reach everyone’s ears; thus the overall PR effect might be negative.

The Israeli government earlier promised to release the tapes on which Abbas pleads for the Gaza operation in exchange for delaying the UNHRC vote. If the tapes are not released soon, we may assume that Israel, the US, and the PLO arranged with UNHRC to hear the report but not send the case to the ICC.

Abbas’ efforts in UNHRC were a snub at Obama, who had received a promise to the contrary from him. The PLO acted as it did in UNHRC despite receiving most of its funding from America (aid) and Israel (tax transfers). The list of countries that signed the petition includes Egypt and Jordan—Israel’s peace partners—and Saudi Arabia, America’s ally. So much for Arabs’ goodwill and promises.

The Nobel committee praised Obama’s utopia of a nuclear-free world, but Obama made that proclamation only two weeks ago at the UNSC meeting. The committee was required to evaluate nominations at the time of submission, and cannot use later events to boost a nominee’s credentials.

The prize is also invalid because under the current guidelines it is only awarded for actual peacemaking, rather than well-meaning declarations.

Obama also received the prize for his “efforts to strengthen international diplomacy.” This merit is yet to be seen, as so far he has failed in all his diplomatic endeavors: North Korea, Iran, Palestine, and Venezuela.

Obama will be in the good company of other Nobel Peace Price winners: Nelson Mandela, a terrorist who bombed his own people to force them out of Bantustans and heat up the confrontation with whites, and Arafat. Hopefully, Obama will follow in the footsteps of another Nobel Peace Prize winner, Yitzhak Rabin.

Egypt, Libya, the Palestinians, and other paragons of human rights joined Sweden in demanding that the UN Security Council discuss the report.

The story illustrates the value of Arab promises: Abbas technically observed his pledge to Obama, but arranged for Egypt to call for the UNSC hearing.

Though the report also accuses Hamas and Fatah of war crimes, the Palestinians are sufficiently certain of their impunity to risk the ICC.

Livni bravely announced her willingness to stand trial before the ICC—not surprisingly, since as a foreign minister at the time she bears no responsibility.

Despite the Palestinian attempt to put us on trial, Israel continues tax transfers to the PA—the logical outcome after we brought the terrorist monsters from Tunisia to the West Bank and gave them weapons to fight us.

In fact, Goldstone’s report asserts explicitly that Israel cannot credibly investigate the alleged incidents, and that the file should go straight to the International Criminal Court.

A 150-nation IAEA conference lambasted Israel and its nuclear program—not Iran’s. The resolution was passed on Arab votes, which sided with Iran against Israel.

The political climate has changed tremendously in the four decades since Israel adopted its doctrine of nuclear ambiguity. Today, we need not fear any sanctions over our nuclear program. As Rabbi Kahane said, it makes perfect sense for Israel to brandish nuclear weapons.

Nevertheless, the setback in the IAEA is unexpected, humiliating, and leaves little chance for sanctions against Iran at a time when similar sanctions are technically due against Israel.

America under Bush refused to join the ICC because it was likely to prosecute US soldiers for “crimes” committed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Israel scored a surprising success when Spain rescinded its universal jurisdiction law. Used at the time to prosecute IDF officials for an anti-terrorist operation, the law was shown to be dangerous to Spain’s own anti-terrorism officials. Other countries have restricted their universal jurisdiction, too.

Goldstone report may force NATO countries to curtail ICC’s jurisdiction, lest they too be sued eventually.

As the old joke goes, the sausages are made equally of horses and quails: one horse for one quail. News consumers won’t delve into the report to see the sequence of events and find out that Hamas is the culprit, or that Hamas deliberately committed war crimes while Israel did her utmost to avoid them.

Moreover, Hamas’ crimes will be discounted because they are expected.

Israel will be forced to comply with the report and launch her own investigation of the “crimes,” lest the matter be referred to the International Criminal Court. Hamas won’t launch a similar investigation, and the UN will technically be required to pass the Hamas case over to the ICC, but Arab countries will block that move.

Shimon Peres quipped that Goldstone would have written the report differently if his children were living in Sderot. We add, Peres would have acted differently against Hamas if his children were living in Sderot.

Goldstone wrote the report as even-handedly as he possibly could. Indeed, it is impossible to conduct a military operation without “war crimes.” He erred when accepted the UN nomination and lent the investigation his high prestige and Jewishness.

Goldstone’s daughter described him as a Zionist who loves Israel. With friends like this, who needs enemies…

UNRWA is desperate to show itself to be a reliable organization, one that does not submit to Hamas, because Israel uses numerous cases of Hamas’ impounding UNRWA cargoes as a pretext to restrict humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

As usual, the statement contained rhetorical calls on the Arabs to normalize their relations with Israel, end terrorism, and release Shalit.

According to its charter, the ICRC can only provide immediate help to POWs and displaced persons (DP). By aiding Gazans, the ICRC recognizes them as DPs, who are thus entitled to return to Haifa and Jaffa.

Presumably those compromises include such minor things as evicting up to half a million Jews from their homes, giving up Judea and Samaria, and allowing a Hamas terrorist state across the border.

Blair did not ask the Palestinians to accept any compromises.

The WB again accused Israel of destroying the Palestinian economy with checkpoints. It remains unclear how the checkpoints are any more than a minor inconvenience for drivers, and what they have to do with business development.

In fact, Palestinians profit greatly from Israel: they steal water, electricity, and cars, take illegal jobs, and sell their tax-free produce here. Since 1948, Palestinians show the highest economic growth rate of all non-oil Arab countries.

But the World Bank does not care about facts.

The importance of UN resolutions is over-rated. Iran lives with scores of resolutions. And after two thousand years of international condemnations, Jews have gotten used to them.

Many proposed resolutions owe their lives to the prospect of an American veto. Other countries increase their anti-Israeli rhetoric, expecting the United States to veto the resolutions. Even an institution so corrupt as the UN cannot afford to pass dozens of resolutions against Israel without passing a single one against Hamas or Syria.

In the unlikely event that the United States ever ceases to veto hostile resolutions, their number would actually decrease.

The World Bank lashes out against Israel for pumping 50 percent more than allowed by the Oslo agreements. Never mind that the Israeli population has increased in the last two decades, but we also supply 150 percent more water to the Palestinians and 50 percent more to Jordan.

According to the World Bank, Israel should increase water supplies to the Arabs while keeping the total volume pumped at 1990s levels. If we were to follow their recommendations, Jews would be actually decreasing their own water supply in order to give more water to our Palestinian enemies.

In return, the UN anti-Semites get the credibility of a report by a renowned Jewish judge. They are fine with having Hamas’ crimes exposed, as no one cares about them and the world will concentrate on Israeli violations.

During the Gaza war, UNRWA protested Israel’s bombing of its schools, but later admitted they were being infiltrated by terrorists. UNRWA claims it had no way to verify its Palestinian staff’s affiliation—though a quick check with Shabak would have solved the problem.

Now, there is nothing to verify: UNRWA’s entire education system in Gaza is under Hamas control, officially. The UN pays for indoctrinating future terrorists and Jew-murderers.

What’s wrong with that tactic? Presumably, Hamas wouldn’t shoot at the boy, so everyone appears to be better off: the soldiers and the boy were safe. If Hamas had shot the teen, that would have been an intra-Palestinian problem.

The prohibition of human shields was developed for legitimate military operations in which both sides are legally entitled to fire at each other. Israeli reprisals against terrorists do not qualify Hamas as a legitimate combatant who is free to shoot; thus human shields are entirely legal—Hamas has no right to shoot at them.

Sixty years ago, the British extensively used Arabs as human shields in the same area. The UN pays no attention to Hamas’ use of human shields.

A sensible person would have expected Israel to at least ignore the anti-Semites. But the Israeli UN ambassador is different. He graciously promised the UNHRC mob that we would improve conditions for jailed Palestinian terrorists and Israeli Arabs.

The government now works to substantially worsen the resort-like jail conditions for the terrorists, and one is hard pressed to imagine how we can improve the treatment of Israeli Arab enemies who pay no taxes, don’t serve in IDF, and are not prosecuted for crimes and riots.

The World Bank has embraced a political agenda by repeatedly calling on Israel to remove checkpoints in Judea and Samaria, lift the Gaza blockade, etc.

Before the donor conference, the World Bank named five Palestinian organizations through which the $3 billion in aid should be channeled. Never mind that such preference constitutes a crime of corruption.

The World Bank’s managing director is Juan Daboub, a Latin-American Arab.

Hamas’ Mashaal received a letter from the Russian Foreign Ministry, which confirmed the KGB state’s “positive attitude” to the Islamic Resistance Movement. Russia, of course, is less welcoming toward Islamic resistance in Chechnya.

Hamas did not enjoy the honor of being investigated by international bodies: shelling Jewish schools and kindergartens is no crime.

After the fog of war dissipated, it appeared that guerrillas had fired at IDF troops from a crowded street, prompting IDF to shell their position – naturally, killing the bystanders.

UNRWA did not retract on its demand to investigate Israeli shelling of its school.
