Abbas harvests European support for still more aid to the Palestinians . Promises the Hamas won’t shell Israel for long. Palestinian police killed the leader of Fatah branch Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. Abdel Razik was killed during arrest on charges of shooting incidents his group staged in the West Bank. Fatah police’s charges didn’t include suicide bombings and Kassam rocket attacks Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade perpetrated against Israel. IDF arrested a leader of Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade Khaled Shawish, organizer of the assassination of Rabbi Binyamin Kahane in 2002. The IDF suddenly managed to arrest Shawish after many Israeli commentators connected Israeli security service Shin-Bet with murder of Kahane, a popular right-wing leader. In today’s incursion into the West Bank, the IDF arrested Tirawi, a Palestinian parliament member from Fatah and critic of Hamas. Tirawi has led Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade. Several other bosses of Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade were also arrested. Israel apparently beefs up the list of prisoners to swap for Shalit. Fatah’s militant wing, Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade, issued an ultimatum to secret Israeli collaborators among the West Bank’s Palestinian population to confess and repent. To begin with, Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade shot two collaborators in Nablus. Many members of Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade serve in Abbas’ forces trained by Americans and supplied by Israel. Fatah requested US General Dayton more arms, including thousands of machine guns (Jerusalem Post). Weapons will be supplied from Egypt. Israeli government could approve weapons transfer to Palestinian security forces, connected with Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade which carries out incessant attacks on Israel. The men actively participated in terrorist attacks against Israel. After evicting the democratically elected Hamas from the government and intimidating Hamas members of the Palestinian parliament, Abbas cracked down on businesses and organizations which pay protection money to Hamas rather than Fatah. Palestinian boss Abu Mazen denied that Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade will be dismantled. The Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade carried numerous suicide attacks in Israel, terrorize common Palestinians, and engage in racketeering. In the Sharm esh-Sheikh speech, Abbas demanded a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. Israel hails Abbas as moderate leader amenable to the Jewish state’s wishes. Fatah demands “housands of rifles, hundreds of armored vehicles and a lot of ammunition,” removal of checkpoints in the West Bank that intercepted tons of explosives, free travel to Israel for Arab terrorists and migrant workers, and release of Marwan Barghouti who serves more than five life sentences in Israeli jail for leading a murderous terrorist organization. (Jerusalem Post) Abbas banned all Arabs except his security personnel from bearing arms. Palestinian Arabs are traditionally heavily armed to counter the terror and racketeering of the PLO gangs. Clans have their own militias. Palestinian Authority issued a statement condemning Israeli war crimes in Gaza. Olmert imagined buying the Palestinian goodwill with hundreds of millions in tax transfers, unilateral release of terrorist prisoners, arms deliveries, and humanitarian aid. Abu Mazen’s accomplice, Palestinian criminal boss Mohammed Dahlan added Qatar to his list of rogue states. According to Dahlan, Qatar (the Al Jazeera state) along with Iran channeled hundreds of millions of dollars (an unlikely amount) to Hamas. Abbas recent order to Palestinian militants to disarm produced no results. Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade and Hamas formally rejected the demand while common Palestinians, armed to the teeth, simply sabotaged Abbas efforts. Dozens of top Fatah officials demanded that Abbas bans Mohammed Dahlan from active political role. Though officially Dahlan is blamed for the fall of Gaza to the democratically elected Hamas, the real concern is over Dahlan’ discrediting Fatah. Dahlan evolved into the top Palestinian gangster and the proverbial corruptioner. Israel considers Dahlan as possible alternative to weak Abbas. Fatah-PLO gangsters who terrorize Palestinians with racketeering and Israeli – with suicide bombers and lost the elections to Hamas will be rewarded with $50 million Jews collected for them through taxation. Mohamed al-Hija was killed in a shootout in Jenin. |
