Ex-rebels attacked government installations in Tripoli in response to the interim government cutting their subsidies. The former rebels used their entire arsenal in the full-scale attack.

The incident highlights the corruption in Libya, which is now even worse than it was under Qaddafi. Thus, the government spent $1.4 billion to pay the rebels one-time subsidies of $1,750 to $3,200 each, thus implying a total of about one million rebels—a hundred times their actual number.

Eilat and Netivot have been attacked by rockets stolen from Qaddafi arsenals by the NATO-supported ‘freedom fighters.’ Now the PRC uses them for attacks on Israel from the Sinai.

It remains unknown whether we destroyed the entire cargo of chemical weapons that Hezbollah and the Iranians purchased in Libya.

According to the UN, former Libyan rebels are holding 7,000 detainees, some of them teenagers. They are being kept in inhumane conditions and some have been tortured.

We have yet to see condemnations from the White House or the threat of a new humanitarian intervention in Libya. Because the new rulers are our sons of bitches.

While Obama was praising the nacsent Libyan democracy, the rebels were slaughtering the people of Sirte—Gadhafi’s hometown—which fell to NATO-supported insurgents a few days ago.

Gadhafi was not hiding

After six months of standing up to the NATO offensive, Gadhafi was finally lynched by the rebels. Much like Saddam, he was found hiding in a drainage hole.

Contrary to reports, he had been living all the while in Sirte, not among the Tuaregs.

Now the rebels can proceed to fight among themselves, with Islamist militants jockeying for the highest positions.

NATO a billion or two stingy

Gadhafi loyalists keep fighting the rebels all the way to Tripoli. Gadhafi’s resurgence is fueled by militant Toureg tribe, a traditional ally of whoever pays cash, including Al Qaeda.

After fighting Gadhafi for six months and spending billions to install a lame government in Tripoli, NATO failed to spend a few billion dollars to bribe the Touregs away from Gadhafi and Al Qaeda in the Maghreb.

Curiously, Al Qaeda works on both sides: its past affiliates rule Tripoli on behalf of the rebels and NATO, while its other personnel smuggle weapons and drugs with Touregs’ help.

Cynical lies from NATO

Western warplanes spearheaded a rebel assault on Gadhafi’s hometown of Sirte. NATO explained its aggression as a means of protecting civilians in Sirte who were being terrorized by Gadhafi. That’s a lie. Human rights organizations have already confirmed massive violations by the Western-supported rebel troops, while no credible reports have emerged of any atrocities committed by Gadhafi. Sirte is his hometown, a place where he enjoys tribal support, and indeed his tribe expects to be repressed by the rebels; therefore there is no need for Gadhafi to terrorize the population.

The Libyan war has turned into a bribery contest between Gadhafi and NATO, and whoever pays more to the Toureg tribal chiefs will be the winner.

Obama’s nice friends

Amnesty International has accused the Libyan rebels of murder and torture. Western leaders have not referred them to the International Criminal Court, unlike Gadhafi, who is being prosecuted there despite a lack of evidence of his alleged crimes.

Al Qaeda – now in Libya?

Oddly, the NATO-supported Libyan rebels depend for their military endeavors on Islamist groups which used to be aligned with Al Qaeda. Their leader Belhadj was captured by the CIA, rendered to Gadhafi, and spent years in Libyan prison precisely because he was a leader of Al Qaeda.

In Gadhafi’s jail, Belhadj ratted extensively both on Zawahiri and on the Libyan Islamists in Britain, so he can safely be assumed to have parted with al Qaeda. But he remains a quintessential Islamist leader, with their trademark superficial softness and ultra-politeness. He heads 3,000 fighters, and the rebels charged him with assembling all the ragtag militias under his command.

Belhadj is very popular. He received massive funding as his cut from the NATO transfer to the rebels. His militias are heavily armed from Gadhafi’s and NATO’s arsenals. It is very likely that Obama has sacrificed yet another country to Islamists.

Gadhafi cannot be hiding

Though Western sources claim they cannot find Gadhafi to capture him, that cannot be true. He has given several phone interviews, including a call to Syrian TV. The CIA and Israel closely monitor phone communications in Syria, and would have no difficulty identifying the number Gadhafi was calling from. It is unlikely that he used Internet telephony with chain proxies and tunneling; he called from a satellite phone, which can easily be traced to a location.

More probably, he has settled in a Saharan town far enough from the coast that NATO cannot bring its commandos on helicopters.
