The dog-bites-man news stories were not as prominent in the media: Arab children hurled rocks at Jewish police in Ras el Amoud, near Jerusalem.

But Interpol is playing a foul game: they cannot be arrested. No doubt, the passport photos were digitally altered a bit. Border guards wouldn’t have noticed the difference, but positive identification has become impossible.

The purpose of the Dubai/Interpol operation is to create a headache for Mossad. With close to 50 members of its Spear unit compromised, the intelligence service will have a hard time conducting similar operations for a year or two.

All six Arabs are dead.

Since Israel has a biometric database and Interpol is already investigating the passports affair, it would be a logical step for Interpol to ask Israel to identify the fingerprints.

It does not trouble Interpol that for decades it did not move a finger to arrest Mabhouh, a wanted criminal.

From the publicly available information, Mabhouh appears to have been an expendable mid-level manager for Iranian arms trafficking to Gaza, not someone worthy of such a mammoth operation.

Biometric passports were introduced as way to prevent forgery. In fact, biometric passports are easier to forge than traditional ones: once the algorithm is broken, forgers can easily produce biometric chips, and border officials do not pay much attention to the paper passport itself due to their erroneous certainty that the chip provides perfect security.

In our time, a cluster of common computers can break any type of smart-card chip through a simple brute force attack. Forgers can therefore replicate biometric passports without much effort. Biometric databases are not very secure, and if stolen they can wreak havoc in international affairs by flooding the market with forged biometric passports.

Netanyahu has bad luck with assassinations: his previous term as prime minister was marred by the Mashaal scandal, which cost Israel working relations with Jordanian intelligence and the reciprocal release of Hamas chief Yassin. The Mabhouh affair will freeze rapprochement with Dubai, which went as far as allowing Israeli sportsmen and ministers into the country.

In another odd development, the forged passports used by the assassination team were traced to a number of trips to Asia. Foreign visas are routinely added to forged passports for credibility, but Interpol spotted the passports details on border computers, which means that the agents were actually traveling on those passports. The extent of their travel remains unannounced, and perhaps the Asian traces simply reflect the agents’ travel en route to Dubai.

Either Mossad deliberately made its involvement transparent to scare the terrorists, or—less likely—it was framed, or we see a major operative blunder here.

Jordan has extradited two Palestinian suspects to Dubai. Though both Israel and Fatah have strained relations with Jordan, the petty kingdom’s audacity is unusual.

If Mossad is behind the assassination, then it is very strange that the US administration did not push Dubai to quash the investigation and Jordan to refrain from extradition.

Dubai is very nervous about assassinations in its territory, and it would be rather odd for Mossad to conduct an operation there.

Standing instructions order Jews under attack to flee the scene rather than shoot. The lack of punishment encourages more Arab attacks.

Too much assassination activity upsets the status quo in which both Israel and the terrorists refrain from striking at each other’s soft targets abroad.

It could seem that, unable to strike at Iran with military means, Netanyahu had given Mossad a green light instead, but Zreik is a too unimportant a figure. The death of the Iranian fellow is no less odd: an astrophysicist, he was a leading figure in the Iranian nuclear program, according to IAEA.

Technicalities aside, the government is certain that all or many Jews regard any Palestinian drivers as potential terrorists, and for a good reason.

The problem is only due to political correctness. Why screen Jewish women, none of whom have ever tried to blow up a plane? (Brave Nancy Hershkowitz tried to hijack a plane, though.)

The recent spike of security concerns began after another odd aircraft bombing attempt. Isn’t it strange that the terrorist prepared his bomb right on the seat instead of assembling it quietly in bathroom where he had been minutes before?

Arabs routinely use one another’s Israeli ID cards to infiltrate Israel, and biometric IDs would stop that.

In 2000, Israeli police courageously and professionally stopped Arab pogrom mobs. Only about a dozen Arabs were killed in the process, and Arab MKs since then have not stopped demanding that the policemen be prosecuted.

The state, essentially, admitted wrongful deaths.

Had the plane been filled with explosives and aimed for a suicide attack, it would have had enough time to crash into the reactor building.

Sure enough, many more Arabs and Africans entered Israel illegally the same day.

Now residents of Tel Aviv can feel like they are in the West Bank.

The Niilin anti-fence protesters are mostly renegade Israeli Jews rather than Arabs. Despite having lost their Jewishness, they have retained their brains and will counter skunk bombs with commercially available gas masks, making for nice photo ops.

The blacks turned the resort town of Eilat into a criminal area, with its parks virtually off-limits to the law-abiding population.

The government refuses to embrace the simple solution of deporting them all to Gaza, where the alleged refugees would enjoy UNRWA camps.

The mass illegal migration calls our bluff on the routine interception of would-be terrorists at the roadblocks. Real suicide bombers would receive their shahid belts in Sinai and infiltrate Israel through the Egyptian border. Those caught at the roadblocks are mostly sitting ducks: Fatah sends them to show the Palestinians it is still fighting Israel, but informs Shabak promptly so as not to spoil their cooperation.

But this is about security rather than logic.

IAF has already abandoned its base near Lod and relocated to the Negev. A similar international airport in Jerusalem is closed due to the Arab threat. The Ben Gurion airport is within reach of Stinger rockets launched from Palestinian-settled areas.

The Israeli government is preparing for a Palestinian state two miles away from Ben Gurion airport. Since the Palestinians can close their airspace to Israeli traffic and otherwise endanger it, the government is seeking a slightly safer place for an international airport.

The fellow, a known Hamas operative, had been arrested many times—and released to continue his anti-Israeli activities. It is not only the Torah, but also common sense that commands you to kill or at least expel your enemies rather than releasing them back into the West Bank after every arrest.

IDF’s mild reaction made Niilin a favorite spot for Arab and ultra-leftist rioters. The government does not allow the army to stop the riots there once and for all by using live ammunition.

Firing at ambulances is one of the most heinous war crimes. Instead of prosecuting the Arab criminals or killing them, Jews hide in bullet-proof ambulances.

The money came from ultra-leftist donors from the UK Friends of Magen David Adom: these supporters of the peace process have to realize that their efforts have culminated in bullet-proof ambulances.

Now any would-be terrorist can get a job with major security implications.

The Pope’s assassination by a Muslim terrorist would be great for Israel, as it would strain the Vatican’s relations with Islamic powers for years to come.

There will be none. Netanyahu cannot afford to jeopardize his already strained relations with Fatah thugs and be accused by the world’s anti-Semites of a disproportionate show of force.

Police are much less daring when dealing with real mobsters.

Using your gun in the West Bank has also become almost impossible: every incident of shooting at Arabs is heavily investigated, and usually results in charges against Jews. The government wants the settlers to feel defenseless and leave.

The opposite news won’t make international headlines. Israeli police have arrested eight residents of Kfar Kassem who this January murdered Alexander Pozbadetski, a guard in Tel Aviv, and wounded two other Jews. Alexander helped evict the Arabs’ friends from a night club where they were stalking a Jewish girl.

In the last two years, less than thirty miles have been constructed. The Supreme Court holds up construction of over 100 miles based on petitions from the Palestinians, who are not even Israeli citizens.

Meanwhile, the concept has become obsolete, as most of the terrorist attacks in 2008 were carried out by Israeli Arab residents.

Even at the height of the Intifada, damage caused by terrorism was statistically small compared to damage caused by traffic accidents. Arabs cause a disproportional number of traffic accidents.

Israel’s real security problem is traffic accidents, and relinquishing Judea and Samaria to Arabs won’t improve the situation.

Another good Arab was arrested in Jerusalem for hurling stones at Israeli cars rather than at people; a humane fellow, indeed.

Haredim from Mea-Shearim met a tourist bus with stones. Dozens of billboards around the religious neighborhood advise tourist agencies to stay clear of it—and rightly so: if you want a show, go to the zoo. Naturally, the Jews find sight-seeing (them-seeing) tours extremely offensive.

Arab drivers kill and maim more Jews than the terrorists do.

Dozens of other Arabs, together with Jewish communists, attacked Israel Beitenu’s meeting in Haifa. Police arrested a “human rights” organization activist for assaulting an officer; the others went free.

Israeli police do not normally respond to claims of Arab assaults on Jews, but they launched a massive operation to catch the Jewish kids. Numerous policemen were deployed in the area, roadblocks were set, and finally police caught the teens.

Israeli police arrested nine Jews, aged fifteen and older, for attacking Arabs, throwing stones at them, and allegedly burning their cars in Nazareth.

Throughout the country, Arabs daily commit similar acts against Jews, but the police do not act in any case short of murder.

The government’s refusal to expel Israeli Arabs has created an unbearable situation in the mixed Jewish-Arab town of Nazareth, where Arabs continually attack Jews. The Jewish kids who stood up against the Arab mob must be honored as heroes.

Media reported that IDF killed a twenty-year-old participant in a pro-Gaza demonstration in Hebron. The truth is that the Palestinian mob tried to break into the Jewish quarter of Hebron with obviously murderous intentions; regrettably, IDF killed just a single Arab rioter.

Routine clashes continued at the separation-wall construction site near Niilin, the place where illegal migrant workers are trafficked from the West Bank into Israel.

In Arara town in the Negev, a few thousand loyal Israeli Arabs protested against the evil Jews.

Small groups of Arabs rioted here and there in Jerusalem and other cities.
