Israeli media are slamming Abbas for appointing a terrorist as his advisor. The terrorist in question led Force 17, Arafat’s guard and assassination squad; he was released in ‘exchange’ for Shalit.

But Israel cooperated closely with Force 17 for years, and Israeli leaders, notably Peres, often convene with Marwan Barghouti in his cell.

Rabbi Yossi Elitzur made headlines by co-authoring Torah ha-Melech, an academic book on halacha that dares to tell the truth about Jewish methods of war. He has now issued a new halachic ruling which would be pretty commonsense if we did not live in a warped society. According to Rabbi Elitzur, it is preferable to kill a terrorist on sight than to call the police, who would eventually exchange him. For that, Rabbi Elitzur faces legal problems.

Incidentally, the government acted very similarly to the rabbi when police warned the terrorists being released that any further terrorism on their part would have ‘consequences.’ In other words, extrajudicial killing.

One of the symbolic prisoners released in the Shalit deal, Yahya as-Sinwar, promised in an interview to continue his terrorist struggle against Israel. Yahya will also teach young Palestinian Arabs the value of terrorism.

He was serving four life terms for multiple murders.

PRC’s leader told Al Hayat that upon Shalit’s capture several Arab governments warned his terrorist organization that the soldier must be released immediately or the Palestinians would pay dearly. Israel ultimately failed to move against the PRC, not even resuming targeted killings of its leaders, and so the pro-Israel Arab warnings turned out to be cheap.

The PRC leader also revealed that there was no need to torture Shalit because he had told the terrorists everything they wanted to know.

Thanks to Gilad Shalit’s release, we have an opportunity to court-martial him. Two of his comrades were killed in the ambush that resulted in his capture because that sham of a soldier slept on his watch.

A Channel 10 poll found that 69% of Israelis approve of the Shalit deal, though 62% believe it will weaken security.

Normal people do not trade the life of one person for the security of millions; that is why we risk soldiers and policemen. But having been brainwashed by leftist media, Jews cannot bring themselves to say that their security and that of their families is more important to them than the life of the celebrated Shalit.
