By 2018, only 50% of the world’s cargo will go through ports equipped with these scanners, which leaves smugglers with ample routes to circumvent the controls. Besides, in many Third World ports they can bribe port officials to bypass the scan. So the system, commendable as it is, will hardly save our civilization.

This is laughable. Bush and Obama have both already tried that trick by sending aircraft carriers to Iranian and Korean shores, with no effect whatsoever. The US did not destroy Pakistani and North Korean nuclear installations, so who would believe that that behemoth would attack North Korea or China?

As Rabbi Meir Kahane used to say, a Jewish fist must be attached to a Jewish head, and the same applies to Americans. After Clinton, Bush, and Obama all refrained from bombing North Korea’s nuclear facilities, there is no way that America would attack the communists in response to whatever provocation—and the communists understand that.

The United States commonly moves its aircraft carriers to the shores of Iran and North Korea, which saber-rattling looks good in domestic media but has no effect on the ayatollahs and communists.

Worse, America’s fake support prompts South Korea to provoke hostilities. The current round occurred when the South Koreans engaged in military exercises in the disputed waters—as if they have nowhere else to train.

No way do the Koreans need such capacity for their newly constructed small light-water reactor. Looking at the size, cost, and modern technologies involved, Iran is a probable customer.

The West knows the precise location of the North Korean facilities. They are not at all protected from air strikes, and can be destroyed with a handful of ballistic missiles. North Korea is an outcast with no way to retaliate. What except apocalyptical leanings prevents Obama’s administration—or Netanyahu’s, for that matter—from destroying these installations?

Everyone knows that North Korea engages in money laundering as the communist regime’s most productive activity. The US removed previous sanctions two years ago as a reward for the Koreans’ suspension of their nuclear program. Since then, North Korean nuclear development has been on and off, but mostly on.

America’s talks with North Korea on nuclear matters proceed secretly because their constant failure jeopardizes American credibility. The only ones who are fooled in this way are American voters: Iranian, Pakistani, and North Korean leaders know all the details of the talks.

The current round of sanctions is due to the failure of talks over the newly constructed light-water reactor. Sanctions are completely futile: North Korea will cover its losses from sanctions manifold by exporting nuclear technology.

In our opinion, Iran has outsourced much of its nuclear program to North Korea.

But China’s defense companies are all state-owned. It is not some crooked businessmen who transfers the sanctioned technology to Iran, but the Chinese government. But the State Department is too shy to accuse China directly.

That strategy failed with Iran. The Ayatollahs ignored the Americans’ threat to install nuclear power reactors in nearly every neighboring Arab country.

Iran and North Korea are developing nuclear weapons, and are not competing forstatus with neighboring countries which are merely working on peaceful nuclear technologies.

The United States staged a much larger military show in the East Sea: an aircraft carrier, two hundred aircraft, and 8,000 troops conducting joint maneuvers with the South Koreans. Of course, the exercise will have no effect on North Korean whatsoever. Like the Iranians, they know that the American military behemoth lacks the willpower to smash their nuclear installations.

You can bet your mortgage on this: China will never adopt efficient sanctions against Iran, its important trade partner and strategic ally.
