North Korea has snubbed Obama once again: after agreeing to halt its proliferation activity in exchange for food, the communists announced plans to test a three-stage ballistic missile. The Korean Committee for Space Technology issued a statement that the test is important for the Korean economy. Note that they said economy, not defense. That is as clear as it gets: North Korea is developing long-range missiles for Iran.

The US has a simple way to halt such tests: just shoot down North Korean missiles over international waters. That would be even legal, given the UN’s anti-proliferation policy, and North Korea would have no means of retaliating. But the West is too weak even for that.

North Korea’s official news sources have taken a very pro-Iranian stance lately. They have even gone so far as to quote Khamenei. While this type of quotation is customary for, Chinese and Russian leaders, it is different for Iran. What makes it notable is that article in which he was quoted was strictly about internal Iranian politics. This type of honor is seldom granted to leaders of non-communist nations, and even then only when what they are discussing affects North Korea. This may be an indication of growing ties between Iran and the DPRK. It also may be an indication that Chinese pressure to allow for more foreign investment in North Korea could be showing returns. This type of propaganda may be aimed at making the very foreign Iranians more acceptable to the North Korean public.

President Obama, who personally wants to dictate the way the world deals with Iran, is showing how ineffective his foreign policies really are. North Korea struck a deal in late February, offering to make concessions on nuclear enrichment and long range missile testing in exchange for food aid. Two weeks later Pyongyang announced that it will launch a satellite by April 16th. This is contrary to UN Security Council resolutions passed in 2009 and contrary to the compliance-for-food agreement North Korea reached with the US last month.

North Korea has a serious hunger program that it refuses to address. Instead, it continues to spend resources on building a massive military and developing weapons technology. So far that seems to be a good investment. In April, while celebrating the 100th birthday of its founding father, North Korea will demonstrate to the world its advancement in rocketry and its generosity by providing Pyongyang’s favored elite with 100,000 new apartments in the new Mansudae Project.

Obama, who deems himself the final authority on dealing with a nuclear Iran, can’t even get North Korea to keep its agreements until the first food shipments arrive. Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates said of dealing with North Korea that he was tired of buying the same horse twice. Lets see how often North Korea can blackmail Obama into buying the same horse. US ally South Korea has already called on the US to increase its commitments to the North Koreans, hoping that the US will be taken seriously.

Perhaps Israel and the rest of the Middle East could learn from the situation on the Korean Peninsula.

Media are reporting extensively that Iran allegedly conducted a nuclear test in North Korea. That is not so.

The Koreans indeed performed a second nuclear test, but with their own weapon, not an Iranian bomb. That was done specifically for Iranian observers in order to demonstrate North Korea’s technological prowess with uranium devices and obtain contracts and financing for further nuclear development, which the ayatollahs partially outsource to the communists.

The test has been common knowledge since it was performed.

The Iranian-Korean cooperation is exceptional in one regard. In most countries, nuclear weapons technology (North Korea, South Africa,Libya, Pakistan) came before there was enough material to make the weapon. But Iran already possesses plenty of yellowcake.

Something to consider: North Korea’s Kim Jong-Il was well aware that the US has never invaded a country with a nuclear deterrent. Traditionally they have tried to isolate and contain adversaries with nuclear capabilities. The US position on the Korean Peninsula has been to prop up the Kim regimes while using sanctions to isolate them. Recent events for food show us this continues. These bribes are used to provide security for South Korea and keep the DPRK focused inward. The US can’t successfully isolate Iran now. A nuclear armed Iran would be another Russia, and would spread its influence throughout the Muslim world.

This will be beyond India’s usual level of independence. China has quietly found a way around regional rivalries and has included India in new arrangements it has made with Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, and China. Attempts by the US to isolate China economically have backfired, and now China is attempting to create a kind of Pacific Trade Group. Look for more partners to be added in the near future. The clincher is cheap oil from Iran, which will be used in a time of rising oil prices to benefit these soon-to-be-interwoven economies. It is projected that India will not become antagonistic towards Israel or the west, but that its level of cooperation will decline. India still wants access to American markets and resources, and it still wants Israeli arms, even though these arms contracts have never been popular in India.

North Korea has signed yet another agreement with the White House, which would provide the rogue state with half a million tons of food in return for merely freezing its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Never mind that freezing wouldn’t preclude scientific research on those same topics, and that North Korea currently has no funding for experiments in the first place. Once the food is received and situation improves, nothing would prevent the communists with continuing their nuclear program.

By the way, North Korea’s semi-official spy agency, Korean Friends Association, has an office in Israel headed by anti-Zionist communist Shmuel Yerushalmi. Mind you, North Korea does not recognize Israel and refers to our country as the Zionist Regime occupying Palestine

The US and Chinese governments have announced the installation of radiation detection equipment in Shanghai port. The system, so far installed in 34 ports, is meant to intercept black-market radioactive materials. Meanwhile, semi-official nuclear supplies will continue by air: Saudi Arabia keeps two airplanes in Pakistan ready to bring nuclear bombs to Riyadh at any moment.

By 2018, only 50% of the world’s cargo will go through ports equipped with these scanners, which leaves smugglers with ample routes to circumvent the controls. Besides, in many Third World ports they can bribe port officials to bypass the scan. So the system, commendable as it is, will hardly save our civilization.

This is laughable. The US did not destroy Pakistani and North Korean nuclear installations, so who would believe that that behemoth would attack North Korea or China?

After yet another skirmish between North and South Korea, the United States sent an aircraft carrier for joint exercises with the South Koreans.

As Rabbi Meir Kahane used to say, a Jewish fist must be attached to a Jewish head, and the same applies to Americans. After Clinton, Bush, and Obama all refrained from bombing North Korea’s nuclear facilities, there is no way that America would attack the communists in response to whatever provocation—and the communists understand that.

The United States commonly moves its aircraft carriers to the shores of Iran and North Korea, which saber-rattling looks good in domestic media but has no effect on the ayatollahs and communists.

Worse, America’s fake support prompts South Korea to provoke hostilities. The current round occurred when the South Koreans engaged in military exercises in the disputed waters—as if they have nowhere else to train.
