from MAOZ

To the Jewish Community of the San Francisco Bay Area:

Jewish Club Maoz regretfully marks the changing of the guard at the San Francisco Jewish Community Federation. We have previously opposed their support for giving away Jewish land for a `two-state solution’ to Arab aggression, funneling Jewish donations to support Arab causes in Israel, its blind and unyielding support for the leadership of the Israeli government regardless of its immoral expulsion of Jews from our homeland, and their treatment of YESHA Jewish residents as second class citizens.

The Federation claims to give `continuity to Jewish values’ (http://www.sfjcf.org/aboutjcf/OurMission.asp), but has consistently
ignored the three pillars of Judaism: Torah, Jewish People and Jewish Land. They have alienated the religiously observant of our community by forging political alliances with those who spit on our traditions.
The Federation uses funds donated in good faith by those who believe that they are fostering Jewish traditions to fund `progressive’ causes. We urge you to look on their own web site (http://www.sfjcf.org/howthemoney/programs/) to see for yourself just how Jewish the programs they fund truly are.

Many understand that the label `progressive’ is just a code word for `socialist’, which is an ideology in direct opposition to traditional Judaism. The `progressives’ have finally tipped their hand openly by the appointment of the new CEO.

Daniel J. Sokatch has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties (JCF) effective July 15, 2008. He will oversee the Federation’s staff of 105, and its four satellite offices located in the Federation’s service areas and Israel.

With such friends, who needs enemies!

We urge the many who perform tzedaka in the tradition of our fathers to do so with open eyes. Investigate what is being done with your well-intentioned donations. If you truly support Jewish continuity, we urge you to give directly to organizations that you believe further this goal. Don’t fall for slick, big-budget advertisements or self-aggrandizing gala awards dinners. The money spent on that could be better spent on the true needs of our community.

Below is a little history on your new Federation CEO and his fellow travelers. You will notice a recurring theme of far left political
activism and the twisting of traditional Jewish values to whatever they now promote as `social justice’.

Rabbi Meir Kahane
From the dummy debate with Michael Lerner

I have never seen such open anti-Semitism in this country since World War II as I have seen today. It is open. The slightest problem - it comes out in black and white. I’m warning you, do not ever listen to your Jewish leaders who say, It couldn’t happen here, this isn’t Germany. Of course this isn’t Germany, but neither Germany was Germany always. In Germany they used to tell people that this isn’t Poland. Every country has its way. Nobody loved their country as much as the Jews in Germany did.

Nobody felt as German as did the Jews of Germany. They didn’t even call themselves Jews, they called themselves Germans of the Mosaic faith. They loved Germany with a passion that no one here could ever feel. Germany had a Jewish Foreign Minister in 1922. America didn’t have a Jewish Secretary of State until 1972, and it was only because he fled Germany. If someone would have asked a Jew, any Jew in the world in 1920, Who is the worst of anti-Semites? not one would have said, Germans. They would have said, Poles, and Slovaks, and Ukrainians, and Lithuanians, and Romanians, and Hungarians.

Germans were the best, cultured. And then it happened. It did not happen because Germans are different. They are not different. Jews visit Poland today. Are you crazy? You’re spending money there? Their hands are red with Jewish blood, what do you want to see in Poland? Give them the cemetery. I want money to go to Jewish life and not for Jewish death. It happened in Germany not because they are any different, it happened because there was a terrible economic collapse. People not only lost jobs, but they lost hope. People who lose hope will follow anyone who offers them hope. That’s what happened, and you want to tell me it couldn’t happen here?

Your problem is that your local Jewish leaders are these losers. It’s incredible who is chosen to be a leader, ignoramuses. They’re not chosen for their scholarship, their knowledge, their piety. They’re chosen for their money and their ability to raise money. They don’t know what people think about Jews. They sit at dinners, and banquets, national conferences of Christians and Jews. And they sit and exchange conversation and humor and joke, and plaques. “This here is your plaque and this is my plaque.” There is only one place where people can find out what people really think about Jews, and that’s in a bar,

a neighborhood working class bar, not a trendy bar over here in downtown San Francisco. Even if it is a happy one. A working class bar, that’s where the Schnapps go in and that’s where you hear what comes out. That’s where you hear America saying, the jealousy, the Jews own this, and the Jews, - that’s when times are good. God forbid if there should be an economic collapse in this country, God forbid it would be the Jews who are blamed. Michael, the Jews. Not the Blacks, because the anti-Semites blame the Jews for everything, including the Blacks. The tragedy of our time is that Jews don’t want to see it.

It is on top of us and we don’t want to see it. A country with the deficit of over two trillion dollars, the biggest debtor in the world. If the Japanese would someday lose faith in the dollar, and stop covering our debts here, there goes the ballgame.
There is no relationship between Wall Street and the real world. The biggest gambling joint north of New Jersey. The economy here is in terrible, terrible shape. We’re losing jobs, we’re losing trades, we’re losing everything. And you sit there… Think carefully, especially young people.

Go home, go home. If you’re in college, this summer go to Israel. Who says every Jew has to be a PhD? Where does it say that? Why is it that every Jew has to be a doctor, an attorney? Where? Go to Israel, enroll in a yeshiva. If you don’t like it, quit, if you do like it, stay. And learn a trade, learn to work with your hands. Plant a tree in Judea somewhere, be a farmer, get married and have a dozen babies. Every one of those children is a gem to us, we owe Hitler two million babies. Pay him back, in this case interest is allowed. And then thirty years from now when you are sitting in your Jewish state, with your grandchildren

in a settlement which has now become a town, and you speak to them how it was when you first came and how difficult, they’ll look up at you and tell you in Hebrew, What a grandfather, what a grandmother. Then you’ll know what Jewish happiness is. Go home, go home. We don’t need money, we need Jews.

Reagan’s Secretary of Defense was Casper Weinberger, one generation removed from the Jewish heritage his name suggests. Uncomfortable and insecure, Weinberger was known to distance himself as much as possible from both Jews and Israel. In fact some who knew him described Weinberger as both antisemitic and anti-Israel.

It is at least coincidental that, having been turned down for employment by the CIA, that Weinberger’s Naval Intelligence (NI) would have hired Pollard, an openly Zionist Jew. Perhaps more curious is that Pollard was then assigned to the team tasked to supply Israel with intelligence materials mandated under the 1983 Memorandum of Understanding between the two states. Put another way, Pollard was somehow assigned to the precise position allowing him oversight of which intelligence was being passed to Israel, and what was being withheld. Pollard could not fail to appreciate that critical information was being illegally denied Israel in violation of the Memorandum. Which either describes Naval Intelligence as an service completely inept and naïve, or perhaps some more devious purpose was at play?

In order to avoid an open trial which the government feared might have compromised US intelligence sources and methods the prosecution proposed a plea agreement in which Pollard was assured “leniency in sentencing” in exchange for a closed court hearing. Pollard, whose interest was in helping Israel, not in harming the United States, agreed. Barely twenty minutes before sentencing Weinberger arrived at the judges chambers with his infamous “secret memorandum.” In apparent acquiescence to the defense secretary’s demand Judge Robinson ignored the plea agreement and sentenced Pollard to life without parole. Clearly not satisfied Weinberger addressed the press to denounce Pollard as a traitor. A former Halliburton attorney the defense secretary clearly knew that Pollard’s crime, charge and conviction were not for treason. Pollard, Weinberger was quoted as saying, should have been given a death sentence, not life in prison.

An excerpt from Rabbi Kahane’s lecture

Do you understand what is happening there? The country is falling apart. It is Shamir’s fault, it isn’t the left. He allows this Intifada to go on for 15 months, what does he expect? This poor soldier, he doesn’t know what he’s doing, why he’s here. He isn’t allowed to put it down, his hands are tied. So he has to beat up and shoot every single day, and he doesn’t want to. Of course it’s Shamir’s fault, and Likud’s fault, and Peres’, certainly. And so people really feel guilty. That’s why more and more people are just dying to run away from Israel. Hundreds of thousands want to leave Israel. They want to get away, they want to flee the country. The country is falling apart.

So now try to understand why. You know God does things in his own way. And I thought to myself, why was this done to Kach? Of course you had the evil ring there, why did God allow us to be here? Maybe we didn’t deserve, that’s a reason. But maybe there’s a better reason. Think about it carefully, maybe God saved us from our own delusions. And saved us for the Jewish people. What would have happened if we would have run? We would have won ten seats, eleven, twelve seats and cheered the third largest party in the Knesset. What would have happened next? The Likud and Labor would have gotten together, this time immediately. Not in fifty one days, immediately, in one day. Stop Kahane. So we would be in the Knesset, ten, twelve

seats, ah ha frustrating. And they would this time stay together for four years, this would be the kind of unhappy wedlock that is really, really locked. You know what they can do to Israel in four years? Let’s say that Israel would still be weaving and wobbly after four years, and we ran again. And this time we got thirty seats, because of people saying, Only Kahane! 30, 35 seats - they would get together again. Therefore I want to tell you, the only hope of Israel is to somehow put an end to this whole system and have a strong government take over. Listen carefully, carefully. Obviously the answer is for the people to get out

and overthrow the government, but you don’t say that. For two reasons. One, they won’t do it, secondly if you think I sat for a long time in 1980 wait until you see this. So you don’t say that, and I have never said that. But what you do is you begin to put it subtly into the minds of the people. Under the slogan, Take your faith into your own hands. Which can mean anything. We are going to demand, and we will not get it yet, but we are going to demand a referendum. We are signing up hundreds and thousands of people for a referendum which will call for

the dispersal of the Knesset and elections within thirty days in which the groups that run must be committed to a platform of five basic orders. One, to putting down of the Intifada immediately with every means necessary. Two, the annexation of the territories so that we will put an end to this nonsense that there are only two choices: a Palestinian state or a continuation of the occupation. There are not two choices, there are three choices. The third choice is a just choice, a Jewish choice: a Jewish state there. Israel, not Judea, Israel.

Three, a choice given to all Arabs to remain in the country with personal rights and no political rights or leave the country. Four, a total change in the economic system. Free enterprise, bring down the Histadrut, make it a trade union only, that is its function. Sell off state enterprises, and bring in free enterprise, capitalism. Bring in private capital, let the country become normal again. Throw the bureaucrats into the sea one by one. And five, a basic change in the educational system in Israel. To give young Jews the kind of Jewish pride, the Jewish knowledge. Judaism, Zionism that they lack totally today. Any group that is willing to run

and accept those platforms and promise to implement them will run. In the election, one party wins, no coalitions. The leading party gets the government, and it gets the government for four years to implement this program. In World War II, 1939 to 1945, six years, Britain froze democracy. There were no elections in Great Britain for six years, because there was a crisis and Churchill said, What kind of election? What are you, crazy? Hitler’s bombing, what kind of election? Six years and there were no elections, that’s what Israel needs. Now no one here is calling to overthrow the government, but what we’re calling for is for the people to go and vote

and to decide. We want them to go to a referendum. We’re the people. We’re the ultimate authority in this country. We want to go back to Vermont or Athenian system. The people are going to vote. On this issue no delegates, no representatives, we personally want to vote on this. If it should go through, it would save Israel. Less than that, nothing is going to save the country. This mafia there has the country by the throat, and they’ll never let us run. In Yediot newspaper last week there was a news item about the Mossad planning to shoot me several months ago, when I was still running. No question about it.

These are the people who are capable of doing anything. They have done it already. People who turned over Jews to the British, people who shot Jews on the Altalena, people who did what they did to Sephardic Jews, people who kidnap Yemenite Jews, they can do anything. Anything at all. That’s why this it the only hope of Israel. Now we have to do this cleverly, but this is the only way, and know that.

Zvi Menachem

The present situation in Sudan and its leader Omar al-Bashir holds some important lessons for Israel. The Khartoum government has ignored the pleadings and warnings of the Western nations to stop the Sudanese army and their surrogates, the Janaweed, from continue to slaughter and ethnically cleans the southern Sudan. The Khartoum government consistently denies their support of the Janaweed.

What can Israel learn from this? The first lesson is to imagine themselves in the position of the southern Sudanese. The UN has proven ineffectual. The token troops are impotent and the Khartoum government manages to thwart all but the meager attempts of the NGOs to alleviate the dire suffering and continuing death toll. The entire world looks on and does nothing about the Chinese support and arms transfer to the Sudan government. What would the world do if Israel were to find herself in a similar situation where a coordinated attack by all her adjacent, surrounding, enemies, supported by Iran, China and Russia were to occur? I can envision speeches at the UN, an outraged press, and aid in the form of emergency evacuations for “key” people. An ineffectual token UN force… and not much more.

What else can Israel learn? The next lesson is to imagine themselves in the position of the Sudanese leaders. I don’t mean to envision Israel perpetrating ethnic cleansing; something unimaginable, but Israel being forced to consider Gaza as an independent country; an enemy who has declared war against her. The aim of war, as Clausewitz noted, is to destroy the enemy’s ability to wage war by attacking its infrastructure.

What would the world do if Israel ceased its supply of all electricity and fuel…stopped all goods from entering Gaza and declared an embargo of Gaza? In addition, Israel would declare a 20 mile free-fire zone; a zone in which all targets would be considered with no regard to the civilian populations. The population would move away from that zone and anything moving would be considered a military target. Next, significant parts of the Gaza infrastructure would be bombed; water treatment plants, sewerage plants, electrical production facilities and transmission points. One must remember, the Western world insisted upon elections in Gaza and the population, in a democratic, free, fair and monitored election, chose Hamas’ leaders who at the time of campaigning, were candid in their goal of militarily attacking Israel and wiping Israel off the map.

So here we have a democratically elected government carrying out the wishes of their electorate to wage war and destroy a neighbor. I predict that the Western world, after shrill admonishments, will do nothing.

Eventually, the Palestinian population will rise up against Hamas and install a government who will cease hostilities against Israel, neutralize the Hamas remnants, and look after the welfare of their people. Then, and only then, will the West and Israel support their new government.

Try to see it my way
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong.
- Kadima Party Jingle

How can you laugh, when you know Israel’s down? What is so amusing about the Winograd Commission whitewash? Admittedly, it could be construed as humorous, a whole commission on the last war in Lebanon without a word about the eight dead soldiers and three kidnappings that started it. Not a whisper of Maj.-Gen. Giora Eiland’s IDF inquiry into the kidnapping of Gideon Shalit and his shocking conclusion that, “Most damningly, Eilat affirmed that the corporal’s abduction could have been aborted. The kidnappers and their hostage were clearly visible on the unit’s electronic screens as they crossed the border into the Gaza Strip, but the tank commander delayed by first asking his superior for permission to open fire and abort their flight.” Not half of half a word of widespread international reports that Regev and Goldwasser were not taken in Israel but were inside Lebanon when they were captured. Not a hint about why the war was initially fought using only the air force.

I’m really down, down on the ground. And the Druse know it. Which is why they started a pogrom to rid the town of Peki’in of its Jews and did so with impunity. “12.03.07 Last Jewish family leaves Peki’in - De Jung family, who emigrated from Holland four months ago, flee Druze village after locals torch their car. All nine Jewish families who used to live in Peki’in leave due to repeated harassment.” The Druse flow with the winning side and it’s not Israel anymore.

Now even Christan Arabs have joined the winning team: (IsraelNN.com) “Jewish residents of Haifa’s German Colony neighborhood have stood aghast over the past few nights as local Arabs, ostensibly protesting Israel’s closure of the Gaza Strip, wave PLO flags and curse the State and Jews as Jewish passerby helplessly look on. Local journalists have accused the municipality of encouraging the Arabs, by supporting a community center where the organization for the protests take place. Jewish residents have complained that the Arabs, from the adjacent neighborhood of Chalifa, have been bothering them for months, stealing everything that is not nailed down. Last Rosh Hashana, the residents told a reporter, local Christian Arabs conducted an “Easter parade,” led by torches – which they used to light and burn flammable items in the front yards’ of Jewish residents as they marched down the street, causing much damage.”

Don’t you know I’m down, I’m really down? So with Jews banned from living in any Arab town, Druse, Muslim or Christian, let’s invite them to live peacefully in our neighborhoods.
JERUSALEM (JTA) — “At Cafe Malcha in this city’s French Hill neighborhood, Hebrew and Arabic newspapers sit on the counter and both languages are spoken amid the din of espresso machines and customers’ laughter. The number of Arabs moving into French Hill, as well as other Jewish neighborhoods of Jerusalem, is rising.”

You don’t cry cause you’re laughing at me. Since Hamas breached the wall to Egypt, so many suicide squads are running around the new 125 mile war border, even the terrorists weren’t sure who blew up in Dimona. So to make sure the next attack in the south is even more deadly, let’s repress the Jews fighting for their land. Over 600 Gush Katif expellees still face court for protesting their forced removal from their homes, two Tel Aviv protesters, Mordechai and Elitsur Harel just got 30 and 40 months in the can for fighting the insane rulers and seven girls, all minors, were arrested, held for two weeks and forcibly strip searched. You want to see the how that indignity works, watch the American cops at work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Qvip6Sanp4

And those poor, blind Israelis who think we’re all alone and there’s nobody else. They are trying to press the Shas Party to leave the government and bring it down. They don’t know that Shas from its inception was blackmailed by the Peres gang to secure the Moroccan vote, or that Deputy Prime Minister Chaim Ramon initially bribed Shas leader Arye Deri with $50,000 to utilize his 23 year old skills to negotiate the sale of the Carmel Bank, or that in 1996 PM Netanyahu appointed today’s Finance Minister Ronnie Bar-On as Attorney General so he could get Deri a jail saving plea bargain in return for Shas agreeing to the Hebron withdrawal.

The deluded mad folks running Israel insist that we can work it out and get it straight. If not, they warn, or say good night. Have these mental cases done anything to objectively prove to the confused Jews that they should be locked in a padded cell for good? Indeed they have. In honor of Israel’s 60th anniversary, the government of Israel has invited The Beatles to play for the nation. What the heck, no matter that they haven’t performed publicly in 39 years or that half the band is dead:

(IsraelNN.com) The Israeli government has sent a letter to the sister of the late Beatles member John Lennon, apologizing for banning the group from appearing in Israel in 1965. Government officials at that time feared that such a concert would corrupt the morals of Israeli youth. The government now is trying to make amends and has invited the Beatles to appear at the 60th anniversary celebrations of the re-establishment of the Jewish state. “We should like to take this opportunity to correct the historic omission which to our great regret occurred.”

Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu was spotted at MIT in 1973 and the grooming began there when he was in his early twenties. After graduating, he received a high paying job at Boston Consulting. His boss was Ira Magaziner (CFR). But he quit the job in 1979, returned to Israel, staring selling furniture at the Rim company, then organized an anti-terror convention. Inexplicably, the CFR sent a team of their biggest guns including George Bush Sr., Richard Perle and George Shultz to this unknown 27 year old’s get-together. Once the convention was over, Netanyahu returned to work selling home furniture for three years until 1982, when Washington Ambassador Moshe Arens invited him to be his deputy. He claimed the choice was indirectly made by those who came to his convention and “were impressed with his performance.” That means Bush and Shultz pressed Arens to bring Bibi to Washington. From there, they pushed his career higher. In 1985, Shultz chaired another anti-terror convention in Washington supposedly organized by Netanyahu. By the time Bibi was UN Ambassador Schultz visited him every time he was in New York, and that was often.
Having groomed and financed Netanyahu into office, the CFR made certain his tenure as head of the opposition did not endanger the Oslo process. Though Netanyahu had the goods and scandals to fell Labor, he was a remarkably restrained opposition leader.
In September 1995, PM Rabin told what he thought was a funny story on Israel Television One. It seems his CFR handler, Henry Kissinger phoned him to relate that Netanyahu called to ask him to declare that American troops would not be placed on the Golan Heights as part of a peace deal with Syria. Who Kissinger was supposed to make this declaration to was not revealed.
Kissinger, according to Rabin, laughed at Bibi and told him to quit bothering him. The next day Netanyahu confirmed his phone call but denied Rabin’s mocking version of it.
The moral of the story is that both the leader of the government and opposition got their commands from their CFR officer.

Excerpts from a lecture given by Binyamin Zev Kahane , H’yd, for Parashat Teruma in 2000
Translated by Lenny Goldberg

The parasha tell us “and you shall make Me a sanctuary, and I shall dwell amongst them”. Simply put, we should be talking about the building of the Beit HaMikdash during this class. Today, religious Jews have come up with all kinds of reasons (excuses?) why we shouldn’t build the Temple: It will come from the heavens, or the Messiah will build it, we are not yet worthy, there are no Cohenim, etc….
Read more The writings of Binyamin Zev KahaneEach camp has its own special reason. Despite this problem, I will not refute these arguments in this shiur, because as it says on the schedule, the topic of this class is: “Cleaning up the Mount before Building the Temple”. Because I believe that with all the importance there is in building the Temple and refuting the aforementioned claims, the most BASIC and real obstacle to building the Temple today is the existence of the Arab mosques and Waqk. That is what scares people away; that is what makes the concept of building the Temple sound like some far-fetched pipe-dream. Sure, the Temple seems like a distant fantasy because its been absent for 2,000 years and the offering of sacrifices is so removed from us. But what really makes it difficult to take the building of the Temple seriously is the fact that we know how problematic that place is. The place where the Temple is supposed to stand is the most problematic place in the entire world. This is the problem we run away from.

There is a concept in Judaism, “Sur Me Ra, Ase Tov” (Remove evil, do good). Last week, for Parashat Mishpatim, we discussed the strict prohibition of appearing before courts that carry out gentile law, and we discussed how the Supreme Court spearheads the Hellenist front. People say that the solution is a Sanhedrin. But that is not a real solution. The real solution is to first undercut the Israeli Supreme Court. After all, what are we going to do - serve a petition to the Supreme Court to establish a Sanhedrin? Of course the problem is a powerful and aggressive Israeli Supreme Court and judiciary system, which many people, including religious Jews find great favor with, unfortunately. And so, saying, “we must establish a Sanhedrin” is no answer. The REAL obstacle to the Sanhedrin and any Jewish content in our country is this all-powerful institution called the Supreme Court of Israel. You won’t convince anyone by saying, “establish a Sanhedrin”. It will always remain in the realm of abstract, far off - because there already exists another well-oiled judiciary mechanism, which is the utter antithesis to a Sanhedrin.

All the moreso when discussing the Temple. We say, “we must build the Temple”. But it is a fantasy when you have the very antithesis to it standing in its place. The problem is that people have difficulty dealing with the “negative” aspects. They like to do the “positive” aspects, as we have mentioned before regarding the building of settlements. People want to build settlements, but don’t want to deal with the “negative” aspect of the mitzvah of settling the land, which is the expulsion of the goyim. In similar fashion, people like to establish Temple Institutes and to show the beauty of the Temple vessels, and to give the feeling of the splendor and importance of the Temple. Of course this should be done - but if ONLY this is done, there is no way we will make it a reality. First, you must take care of the problem. That’s “Sur Me Ra, Ase Tove”. It is like doing surgery - you have to cut. There is blood and it is messy - so people choose to skirt the issue. But we must do it - we have no choice.

We must deal with the desecration that takes place up there. After the “shiur” you will see a shocking video from “Chai ViKayam” which shows the shocking reality of the Temple Mount situation. It is a must see. Every rabbi should see it. Unfortunately most rabbis will say that videos and TV’s are “impure”. The problem is that we worry about the small “impurities”, and forget about the big “impurities” (like on the Temple Mount)

It says in the Zohar, Parashat VaYetze: “Rebbe Zera went to meet with R. Elazar, and saw him crying. Rebbi Zera asked the shamash of R. Elazar, ‘why does he sit and cry’? The “shamash” said: ‘twice I tried to get near him to find out, but I couldn’t’. They saw R. Elazar leave his place of learning and crying on his way home. Rebbe Zera heard R. Elazar say: ‘The stone, the stone. The holy and loftiest stone - the nations of the world, in the future, will degrade you and put loathsome idols on top of you to defile your holy place. Oy for the world, oy for that time, oy for that generation!’”

We are talking about the “evin hashtiya”, the foundation stone in the Temple on which the arc stood. The Zohar continues: “R Elazar sat down, and Rebbe Zera asked his “shamash”: ‘Go ask him if I can see him’. The shamash entered and said, ‘Rebbe Zera is here’. R. Elazar did not react. After a little while, he said, ‘let R Zera enter, and you sit outside’. Rebbe Zera entered. He prostrated himself before him. R. Elazar kicked him and said, ‘arise from your bowing and sit regular’. He sat in his usual manner. Rebbe Zera asked him: ‘what were you crying about?’ He said, ‘On a great tragedy that will take place. I saw that the holy stone from which the world was created; the stone which Yaakov’s head rested upon, and on which the Almighty built His House upon for the Divine Presence to rest - I saw that on this stone, it is destined in the future to be degraded by the nations, and upon it will be their corpses. Who won’t cry? Oy to the world, oy to that time, oy to that generation.

” We are talking about the impurity (”tooma”) on the place of our holiest site. We know that the Temple Mount today has indeed become a cemetary for the Arab corpses. Abdullah, king of Jordan is buried there. The flag of Jordan waves on the Temple Mount. In short, they have deliberately put a lot of “tooma” there. Throughout history, the forces of “tooma” have been attracted to the Temple Mount. After the Bar Cochba rebellion, Hadrian built a temple for idols; the Christians and the Muslims afterwards. Our sages didn’t just cry about the “churban” (destruction), but they also cry about the foreign intruders and impurities which permeate the area.

In Sefer HaMitzvot, the Rambam brings down that we are forbidden to plant trees on the Temple Mount, even if it is for beautifying the area. Today we know that the area is full of trees and grass, so that the Arabs can have their picnics. When David fought the wars of Israel, he conquered areas outside of Israel (Aram Zova and Aram Naharayim), but neglected the Yevusites in Jerusalem. The Sifri says: “The area of My palace you didn’t conquer, and you go and fight Aram Zova?”. But David DID conquer Jerusalem, as we see in Shmuel Bet, so why is Hashem saying he didn’t conquer it? But the answer is that he left the Yevusites “autonomy”. Despite the fact that the Yevusites were resident strangers, it was not considered conquering them, because he left them with self-rule on the Temple Mount. It is like today, where we build and build on the outskirts, but “near My palace, you didn’t conquer”.

If we don’t talk about the need to remove the disgrace, we arrive at absurd conclusions. Here is an article by someone who suggests building the Temple in the area of the Kotel. He says this will “neutralize the hostility” between the nations. All this is a symptom of the sickness of not talking about the mosques. It’s not nice to talk about dismantling them, or blowing them up, or moving them. But their presence is what deters most people from thinking about building the Temple. Here is another idea written here: We needn’t dismantle the mosques, but rather we can have a kind of dual-condiminium concept - maybe build the Temple on the second floor of the mosque…(laughter) All this stems from the sickness that we don’t want a confrontation. So we have the hugest contradiction in the world: the holiest site contains the greatest “tooma”. So we evade the issue. If you don’t settle problems and contradictions, the results are absurd and ridiculous ideas. We see this in all areas of life here. My father wrote an entire book on the subject called, “Koo-Koo Land”, to depict the insanity. Today, the situation is much worse.

As I researched through the articles on the Temple Mount, I asked myself: what happened to all that awakening which had been taking place ten years ago in regard to ascending Har HaBayit, etc. There had been the beginning of a real awakening in the subject. Chai ViKayam had been going up, breaking through. Others were going up.. What happenend to it all. Why has it faded? People go up the Mount still, but less than before. But there is no progress. When Chai ViKayam started, they had an intention to force the issue much further, but things got stuck, everything is stuck…

Question: But we must go up still, it helps..

Kahane: I say that as a rule, ascending the Mount through degradation won’t help us. People should go up the Temple Mount, if that’s all there is, people should do it. But I think that such activities won’t light the fire, won’t elevate, or have any revolutionary impact. This goes for all the activities taking place on the national front. Everything is stuck. For twenty years we have had the “Aliyot” to the Mount, and there is no progress. Therefore, we must contemplate why.

I say that we are not in the galut, and we can’t act as if we are. To go up to the Temple Mount, to present our Tiudat Zehut, to be frisked, to be escorted by the Waqk - it’s a degradation! We already supposedly passed the stage of degradation. We are not supposed to be a generation of degradation. Though we are, it is not supposed to be. The Almighty returned us to Eretz Yisrael in order to blot out the desceration of His Name. And the Beit HaMikdash won’t be built via degradation. The State of Israel wasn’t established through degradation, but through mighty heroism and self-sacrifice of Jews who fought and fell on Kiddush Hashem. Beit Mikdash can’t be built through anything less. It won’t be built via “understandings” with the Waqf, which is the plan of many mistaken Jews. It just doesn’t go together.

Question: What’s the alternative?

Kahane: That’s a big question. The alternative is mighty deeds, Kiddush Hashem. I know the alternative. I’m not leveling complaits against anyone.

But we must know that there is a lack of self-sacrifice today, and I know that even being one of the few who ascend the Mount under the present conditions is self-sacrifice, too. But it’s not enough. The Almighty demands a great deal more of us. This is why everything that has been tried up to now has not worked - Hashem is not letting it work, because he wants greater “msirut nefesh”. I’m not better than anyone else, but this is how I understand the realities of the situation…

Dear Torah Supporters!

Our community recently had the honor of hosting Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz here in San Francisco. This world recognized scholar is the author of a new edition of Talmud that makes the central text of the Jewish people universally accessible in the original Hebrew and has been already translated into English, Russian and French.

We must sadly inform you that two armed Hamas terrorists recently attacked his Mekor Haim Yeshiva in Kfar Etzion. This is not a yeshiva consisting of college-age students studying after their IDF training. These are high-school students without any combat experience.

Instead of entering student dormitories at 9:30 PM, the terrorists entered a room where four counselors were meeting. As providence would have it, two of these counselors were recently trained in anti-terrorist combat techniques and practical weapons handling by Mishmeret Yesha. Rather than obey the terrorists’ command to “stand against the wall”, one counselor engaged in hand-to-hand combat allowing the other to shoot both terrorists dead.

This event has been widely publicized in the Israeli media, see one example at: Haaretz

Over 70% of terror attacks directed at Israel and the Jews occur in of the mountainous territories of Yehuda and Shomron. From Hadera to Ghadera, a mere 9-mile-wide stretch of land, the entire coastal population of Israel depends on the brave men and women of Yesha to fend off terror for its survival. Often we hear only about attacks resulting in injuries or deaths, but the majority of attacks are where Israelis succeed in defending their businesses, land and families from terror generally go unreported. This high rate of success is almost entirely due to Mishmeret Yesha training programs and equipment assistance.

The media has not given credit to Mishmeret Yesha for training and organizing the security detail for Mekor Haim Yeshiva.

While the IDF approves and supports Mishmeret Yesha’s work, they have no budget to support the over 4,000 volunteers that are trained and equipped by Mishmeret Yesha.

We urge you once more to support Mishmeret Yesha’s work, and to help save Jewish lives by donating to Mishmeret Yesha today.

I’m an old Zionist student activist (44 years old)

Meaning I used to do that when in college

I’m busy with my life of wife plus 7 kids and trying to make it in Israel

But I do have some strong words of advice for those young Jewish activists out there who want to “counter Arab propaganda” on their college campus.

My word of advice is don’t “counter” get off the defensive and on the offensive!

The success of the Israeli military in prior wars was because they went on the offensive- especially their most successful war of ‘67 that wasn’t won in six days but in the first six minutes when Israeli jets destroyed the Egyptian planes when they were still on the ground. Be Israeli and go on the offensive…

Take a step back and remind yourself of the bigger picture.

There are basically three types of students (yes I am simplifying- it does vary at different schools but anyway…)

Those who love Israel and know that we are morally right (tiny group- 2% of all students)

Those who are anti-Zionist or Anti-Semitic (a much bigger group- 8% of all students)

And all those multitudes of students in the middle (90% of all students if not more)

The fight is between the few activists of the 2% against the few activists of the 8% trying to sway as much as possible the 90% in the middle to start to harbor negative views of the other side. The stakes in this battle between these two groups is very high as the college students of today will make up the future of American public opinion of tomorrow and some of them will end up in important positions- so your activism is very important for Israel and the Jewish People. Don’t get into a yelling match with the 8% who are anti-Semitic/anti-zionist as you will never change their opinion, it is only a waste of time, and even more than that- that’s not what the battle is about. The battle is about influencing the minds of the 90% of American college students who don’t yet have a strong opinion either way regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Having said the above it is a huge mistake spending time refuting their arguments or accusations against Israel. Why let them choose the topic of discussion and put Israel and Jews on the defensive? They will write about “Israel’s GSS uses torture as a means of gathering information…” Israel seals off Arab towns cutting them off from jobs and medical facilities. Israel is Apartheid etc etc. And the Jewish side starts Explaining… (English for “Hasbarah”)

Much better is to remember the bigger picture of trying to influenced the opinion of the “90%” and you pick the subject that will be discussed on campus.

Jewish students should lead protests against how women are treated in the Arab world.

For example each of the two semesters of college, fall and spring could have their own campaign.

Fall semester would focus on a campus community-wide awareness campaign and petition against the practice of Honor Killings in the Arab World-

While the spring semester could focus on a second campus community-wide awareness campaign against the practice of Female Circumcisions try to get the publicity of both campaigns (and petitisions) to get the attention of the media beyond the campus as well.

A great place to start is to do a google search under the topic “Honor Killings” and “female circumcisions” see what you come up with.

You can also intersperse the campaigns with these topics:

Christian flights from Arab countries. .

Arab roles in modern slavery especially of blacks

Arab Muslim attacks on Arab Christians

The big push for each semester should be to get a petition protesting widespread use of honor killings and female circumcision (really mutilation) in the Arab world. Get the whole campus- students and faculty to sign on.

Also publicize like heck the “Christian flight” from the West Bank, Iraq, Lebanon etc etc and the reasons for it.

Pick the topic that everyone on campus should be talking about. Not Israeli roadblocks but Honor Killings, Female Circumcision, Christian Flight from Muslim States, Moslem brutality in Sudan and connections to modern Slavery. Create a major discussion of how can the U.S. have great relations with Saudi Arabia when that country treats women like chattel? They sentenced a woman who was raped to be lashed and only because of international outcry was the poor woman spared. What does Saudi Arabia have to do with Israel? Everything. The more you can make the Muslims look horrible in the eyes of Christian American college students the better they will see and sympathize with Israel.

Get big campaigns rolling in the campus about these topics. By the end of the year those students in the middle should get the picture of Palestinian Arabs mutilate their girl’s genitals (female circumcision) to keep the women under the men’s control. Etc etc.

Do google search on all the topics above. Form alliances with pro-women groups and Christian evangelical groups on campus- ask their help with getting names for your petitionsIt doesn’t matter if the examples you bring of brutal female circumcisions or honor killings are from the West Bank or Gaza or somewhere else- even in Western countries. The point is to show the creutlty the Arabs are capable-even to their own. Teach the Christians in your school how ruthless the Arabs are to their own wives, sisters and daughters so they will understand how they are capable of doing another Holocaust to the Jews if G-d forbid they ever had the upper hand. If they can do that to their own imagine what they are capable of doing to those Jews that they are taught to hate? Remember, the goal of your activism is to shape the image of the Arabs in the eyes of 90% of the students on campus who are in the middle between the pro-Israel group and anti-Semites.

Now go on the offensive as described above! You can start with those two google searches under Honor Killings and Female Circumcision. Good luck!

“Over 250,000 Israelis now live under the threat of the kassam missiles”- Head of Israeli Military Intelligence to the Israel Knesset Parliament Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee, Jan.1st, 2008

Since the first day of January until today, January 20th, over 430 Kassam missiles and mortars were launched towards Sderot, the Western Negev and Ashkelon , according to the IDF spokesman.

In 2007, over 2300 missiles and mortars were launched towards Israel from Gaza .

How many thousands of kassam missiles will be launched in the year 2008 towards Israel ?

Living through 200 rockets in the past few days launched towards Sderot…Hearing the screeching siren- “Red Color- Tseva Adom’ every time a rocket is launched… Running for cover in the 15 seconds left… Hearing the whistle, and a few seconds later an enormous explosion…And listening to that laconic newscast on the Voice of Israel …“No Damage, No Injuries, a few were treated for shock”… this is Sderot reality.

Watching a 5 year old boy who was crying after he saw his mother blown away from the explosion of a kassam that hit directly into his play room, where he was playing on his computer with his 5 year old neighbor… Witnessing both boys evacuated to the ambulance, both shivering with shock…this is Sderot reality.
.
190,000 are under the threat of these missiles today, including Ashkelon , Netivot and 20 Kibbutzim and Moshavim.45,000 Israelis are daily bombarded by these missiles.

Officially 20,000 residents, of a normal population of close to 24,000, are left in Sderot, although there are those who say that it is probably less than 17,000 residents.

Each and every resident has experienced an explosion of a rocket\missile in the past few years… this is Sderot reality.

The feeling of helplessness once the siren goes off, seeing young soldiers who were sent to ‘protect’ Sderot running and covering the heads with their hands, their weapons useless…Feeling that my only weapon is my video-camera to try and document this weird reality so that some one would be willing to watch and listen… this is Sderot reality.

Driving around Sderot, with no seat-belt because the seconds spent unfastening it might cost me my life… hearing the siren go off, jumping out of the car and running for cover to the closest bus stop shelter, while holding the hands of a grandmother and her grandchild, until we reach the bus stop, which is already crowded with parents and their children on their way to school…this is Sderot reality.

Trying not to panic in front of the children, thinking to myself that a direct hit on this bus stop would be a death trap since only 2 months ago there was an investigative report showing bus stops\bomb shelters are not qualified as bomb shelters since they are built with only 20 centimeters thickness of cement, when the requirement is 40 centimeters to withstand a direct hit. And now there are 52 lethal bus stop shelters like these scattered around the town where dozens of people take cover from the missiles…this is Sderot reality

10 missiles exploded in Sderot on Thursday morning, while children were on their way to school and kindergarten. My younger sister Liora, who moved to Sderot to work with the children, described their panic. As they ran to the shelter she grabbed three young children and escorted them to the safe room and started to sing out loud so they wouldn’t hear the missile exploding near by… That safe room contained over 25 children. This was their only activity room where in the past few days they have been spending their playtime…For safety, they are not allowed to play outside. This is Sderot reality.

Hearing from families I know, as they all sleep together with parents and children in one bed, with the fear of the siren going off and no shelter to run to, since 752 homes in Sderot have no shelter or safe room… this is Sderot reality.

This past Friday. the 18th of January, there was a memorial in Sderot’s cemetery, for Ella Abukasis, who was murdered when she was only 17, three years ago, by a direct hit from a kassam rocket that hit her as she huddled over her younger brother, who was 11 years old at the time… this is Sderot reality.

Will there be any ending to this terrorism of missiles being launched towards civilian neighborhoods?

How can Israel defend its own citizens, with out being condemned, when 97 percent of the targets of Gazan missiles hit our civilian population, while the Gazans fire their missiles from behind the human shields of their own civilian population?

What about the hundreds of tunnels dug beneath the “Philadelphi corridor” in which Egypt routinely delivers ammunition, army equipment, terrorists and cash to Gaza ?

When will Israel hold Egypt and these Palestinian terror leaders personally responsible for the suffering of the people of Sderot?

When will Sderot reality change?

Rabbi Meir Kahane ZT’L HY’D

Jewish Press July 21, 1972

Among the reasons given by opponents of the argument to openly declare the territories liberated in June, 1967 as part of the Land of Israel, is the one that such a step would inundate Israel with Arabs and, with the passage of time, wipe away a Jewish majority and consequently a Jewish State. Such people point to the enormous disparity in the Arab and Jewish birthrate (the Arab is among the highest in the world and the Jewish is among the lowest) and declare that to make the West Bank or Gaza Arabs full citizens would be to see them become a majority with the passage of time.

I have been waiting for some time to find a suitable opening for an idea that, to me, is crucial in its importance, and this argument of opponents of “liberation” certainly gives it to me. In order to meet the challenges of the Arab birth rate AS WELL AS FOR OTHER VITAL REASONS, the time has come not to timidly retreat in face of it but to meet it with the sublimely simple answer of having Jewish babies.

I can think of few more urgent needs for the Jewish people than that of raising high the slogan of “pru u’rvu,” be fruitful and multiply. Multiply Jewish babies; let the Jewish population grow and be fruitful; let us produce Jews, Jews and more Jews. Less than thirty years ago the Holocaust ripped from us 6 million Jews, a third of the entire nation. Among them were millions of young people and children who, had they lived, by this time would have produced millions more. We lost, not only a vast quantity, but a vital quality. The smallest of peoples became smaller yet, the weakest, weaker yet.

Not only did we lose strength and bodies to keep alive the Jewish Nation but we also lost untold Jewish genius to give voice and reality to the Jewish message and heritage. All this came about because of the Holocaust.

And today, the Land of Israel stands under populated and in need of Jews. Jews to assure its majority in the land; Jews to man its guns and secure its existence; Jews to create its scholars and scientists and geniuses. We are woefully short of Jews and worse – woefully filled with the un-Jewish, “sophisticated” nonsense that calls for a low birthrate and less and less Jews, yet.

On the one hand, there is none like the Jew to be on the forefront of every cause, whether it is good for the Jew or not. And so, all over the “civilized” world we find Jews moaning over the population growth and smothering us with statistical “proof” that unless people limit their children to two or one or even zero, the world will end on June 12, 2163 when all people will be crushed as the last bit of free space is used up…

In any case, the Jew takes his place in the ranks of the sophisticates who sneer at the “cows” who give birth to many children, who remain enslaved to a family, who are shackled by medieval concepts of conjugal relations being for prosaic procreation rather than “glorious” orgasm. Children, in our sophisticated world, become dangerous enemies of civilization. They threaten the existence of the human species. They are a source of extinction of the human race and they must be strictly limited and, in the case of abortion, eliminated. Then and only then will the earth be freed of the specter of overpopulation and will Woman be able to reach her true creativity and greatness of potential.

My own feelings are that if the non-Jewish population of this earth feels the need to limit its growth that is certainly its own affair and more power to it. As for Jews, however, for once let us remain backward and unprogressive. For once, let us not be dazzled by the need to follow in the ranks of the non-Jews and to be “like all the other nations.” Let others abstain, limit and eliminate. For us, let the slogan be – Have Jewish Babies.

They killed a third of our people in the Holocaust and we lose countless each year through assimilation and intermarriage. The answer? Have more Jewish babies. How many? AT LEAST as many as the Arabs. The Jewish woman is limited and unfulfilled, hampered and oppressed by babies. The answer? Drop the sterile, depressing and suicidal Playboy concept of life and return to an understanding of what a beautiful thing the Jewish family life, center of woman’s and man’s existence, is; and have more Jewish babies.

The land of Israel stands today magnificent in size and opportunity. The moment has come to fill its empty fields and barren mountain sides, to close the gaps in its security and defense, to populate the land that is ours and that never dare be returned. How? By having Jewish babies and having them grow up to be men and women who will spit in the eyes of a world that thinks that it can wipe us out. In memory of the little babies who burned in Auschwitz let us have little babies in Jerusalem. To replace the little boys and girls who perished in Treblinka and Warsaw let us have strong little Jewish boys and girls in Tel Aviv and Hebron and Golan and Rafiah. Let us stand on Hitler’s symbolic grave and greet him daily with the news of another huge increase in Jews.

If India seeks to limit its growth, it is none if my business or that if any Jew. If China wishes to stop having children, Jewish lips should be sealed. If White Anglo Saxon Protestants or Afro-Americans or Irish Catholics want to push for Zero Population Growth, I believe in a policy of strict non-intervention. But as for Jews – let us be fruitful and multiply. There remains in the end, no more important and beautiful thing than yet another Jewish child, yet another Jewish wedding to produce many Jewish children, yet another little one who will laugh in the faces of Jewish enemies and say: You see, we continue to live.

A couple of weeks before the opening of the conference in Annapolis Saib Arikat, Head of Negotiations with Israel categorically rejected the opportunity of recognizing Israel, as the Jewish state. In other words, the body politic which PA is considered to be, negotiating for peace with its neighboring state, Israel, …denies the very existence of this state. Is it surrealism and absurdity? Undoubtedly. However, this is an integral part of the Middle Eastern reality. And in this context the statement of Arikat (the representative of “pragmatic” and “moderated” Palestinians) is not accidental at all.

From the very beginning of Oslo Palestinians did not camouflage their intention not to recognize Israel. I emphasize: they did not camouflage it. Yaser Arafat publicly declared: “Palestinians will return to all the houses which they have lost during the War for Independence - in Acre, Jaffa, Haifa, etc”. He compared Oslo agreement to the peace treaty between Prophet Mohammed and the Koreish tribe. As you know, it was annulled by the Prophet at the moment of loosing its value.

Shimon Peres has called the acceptance of the amendment to the Charter PLO in 2002 (about recognition of the Jewish state) “one of the most significant events in the history of Israel”. (The Charter had contained the item on “destruction of the Zionist state”). It was yet another illusion harbored by Peres, and Israel as a whole. “The Palestinian national Charter has not changed!” one of leaders of FATH Farouk Kaddoumi repeatedly declared. He only repeated the statement that “the moderate Palestinians” had many times said openly. As a matter of fact, the same has been told by Saib Arikat.

“We can temporarily recede or gain a tactical victory. It does not matter. Our eyes are turned to the future, to our strategic purpose, the name of which is Palestine from the river (Jordan) up to the sea (Mediterranean). No matter what we receive now, it will not force us to forget the prime aim” (Feisal Husseini, the former minister of Arafat for Jerusalem Affairs, the participant of peace talks in March, 2001).

In January, 2002, immediately after Peres’s enthusiastic declaration, the director of the Department on the international parliamentary issues in PA National Council Zuhair Sanduka declared that the amendment to the Charter… was never and nowhere published. “There were publications about the decision to make this amendment. But there are no texts or paragraphs which should replace the existing ones or to change them”, he said.

There are a lot of similar declarations. They are made, we’d like to emphasize, by “pragmatists” with whom Israel has been negotiating for peace .

“It’s no use arguing about the percent of the ground that should be given to Palestinians if we don’t try to understand their driving motives first”, Asher Eder says in his interview. He is a historian from Jerusalem, who has been studying religious and historical aspects of the Arab-Israeli conflict for many years. “The problem is not in Palestinians, the problem is in the specific approach of the Arab world to the conflict.

Till now Israel has not understood the main thing: the Arabian policy concerning “Zionist formation” is nothing but their sacred war, jihad. We are not talking separate appeals in separate countries of the Arab world. We are talking total jihad, the ultimate goal of which is the destruction of Israel. All means suit the purpose”.

“This strategy”, Eder continues, “has no relation either to internal political struggle of the Arab world, or to the antagonism of the so-called “secular” and religious fractions. Moreover, the directive on total jihad against Israel was generated during the ruling of the Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Naser who was known as a secular governor of the socialist sense. He, in particular, after the defeat in the Six-Day War called a conference of Arabian religious leaders where the concept of the anti-Israeli jihad was formulated. And since that moment Arabs have consistently and purposefully been realizing it”, Eder expands his idea.

Is it possible to get out of this situation? Eder considers it is. However, it is a long and difficult way, and there are no easy solutions in it. “True peace can be reached by way of understanding the sacred texts of Islam. Islam is the soul of the Arabic society. Muslims do not separate religion from policy, outlooks, or daily life. Israel in the eyes of Arabs will be a “damned state” until the Muslim clergy bless it, authorize its right to exist. In fact peace is possible between Ishmael and Israel according to Koran. It recognizes the teachings of the Jewish Prophets and peculiarity of Israel . But Islam teaching is distorted be fanatics and until Muslim clergy conceal truth about Muslim prophecies regarding Jews, any political negotiations will make no sense “, Eder exp! lains.

Meanwhile, during the wartime, all means are good. He quotes Arabic spiritual leaders. Grand Kadi of Jordan, Sheikh Abdullah Goshah has in his time defined the strategy of Muslims concerning Israel in the following words: “The Muslims are also free to break their covenant with the enemies if they are uneasy lest the enemy should betray them… Telling lies in war is permitted so as to comfort the Muslims when they are in need of it as in the time of fighting. Arrogance is disliked except in case of war”.

Syria’s Mufti Muhammad Azah Darwaza declaims: “The Quranic sentence is applied to make peace with an enemy who has his own country and state, but the Jews in Palestine are our enemies who have made their aggression upon counter the Arab Muslims”.

Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheich Hassan Khaled: “Particular this battle is not a mere combat between parties, but it is a battle between two religions”.

Such approach has only become stronger in our days.

The similar opinion I have heard from known Rabbi Menachem Froman from the settlement Tkoa. For many years Froman has been trying to establish a dialogue between the Arabic leaders and Israel. Rabbi Froman is convinced: the Israeli politicians, analysts, experts have not made the slightest effort to understand and study Islam. All their intensions are concentrated on the searching of superficial, political decisions. Moving religious motives were denied, as something irrational and consequently not essential. But actually, the religious factor is dominating for each Arab, and it is not very important, to which party or movement he belongs.

“Do you remember the slogan of the Left: “It is necessary to make peace with moderate, secular, progressive Palestinian leaders until extremists have not strengthened their influence there”? Do you remember?! Arafat in their eyes was a moderate, secular, progressive Palestinian leader of the kind. What nonsense! In the first place, Arafat was the Muslim, and a deeply religious one. I met him many times, went to him to Mukata. Once he told to me with pride: “For me to be a Muslim is more important, than to be a Palestinian, above all I‘m a Muslim!”

Rabbi Froman believes: peace with Arabs could be only achieved on religious basis. But nobody tries to do it, substituting a real dialogue by illusions and lies. The consequences of it can be fatal to Israel.

And at last, let’s give the floor to a representative of Arabs themselves. In virtual interview on the Internet the Arabic scientist and publicist from Kuwait D-r Sami Alrabaa , living in Germany, has answered my questions:

- What is the real cause for the Palestinian terror against Israel: occupation of territories or refuse to accept Israel? If Israel agrees to leave these territories, will Arabs (and Palestinians) really (not formally) accept it?

- To be honest, even if Israel evacuates all occupied territories, as it did in Gaza, the Palestinians, in particular Hamas and the other radical organizations will not stop their terror. As far as Arabs are concerned, I can tell form experience backed with empirical research, the majority of Arabs want peace with Israel. But they are intimidated by radical Islamists. Arab regimes, almost all of them, including Egypt and Jordan, do not want to have peace with Israel. These regimes have been trading with the “Palestinian Issues” for decades now. The “issue” is a pretext to distract from real issues like democracy, human rights, and less corruption.

- How do you estimate the Saudi initiative?

- Saudi Arabia uses two different languages, one for radical Muslims, for the Wahhabis and one for the West. It tells the Wahhabis, never, we can never have peace with the Jews, the Prophet had none. Hence the Saudi regime would have “peace” with its followers as the “Custodian of the two holy mosques”. To polish its fanatic and despotic image in the West and America, the Saudis have come up with a peace initiative. From historical record, the Saudis would ally with the devil if that guarantees their survivals.

…So what peace are we talking about? The “peace” between Prophet Mohammed and the Koreish tribe? The one which has ended with the total slaughter of the tribe.

…When Hitler declared, that he wished to annihilate Jews and grasp the world, smart intellectuals and politicians-pragmatists inquired in bewilderment: “What does he mean by this?” Indeed, what did he mean by that?
