The Israeli Supreme Court has rejected a suit brought by insurance companies against tobacco companies. In the US, a similar case resulted in a $245 billion settlement, albeit spread over many years. The exact same arguments failed to convince Israeli judges, who allowed the hearings to drag on for six years.

Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails have disseminated a letter blaming Israel for its failure to release them in exchange for Shalit. Remarkably, the jailed terrorists are allowed media contacts, though Yigal Amir was penalized for the same.

Israeli media have eagerly provided these Hamas terrorists with a platform by reporting on their letter.

The ultra-left Israeli Project probably was not happy with the results of its most recent poll in the West Bank and Gaza: just 34% of Arabs are willing to accept a two-state solution, with just 5% undecided. Thus even Abbas’ voters would not make peace with Israel.
