Israel will charge Fatah for terrorism

Jerusalem court formally recognized a 2004 US court’s verdict which granted compensation to the families of terrorist victims. In the Unger case, the US Federal Court ordered the Fatah-PLO to pay $116 million to the victims’ families because Fatah employed the murderers as policemen.
Theoretically, tens of thousands of Israeli families should rush to the courts to bankrupt the Palestinian enemy. Though Israel pays massive “tax transfers” to the PA, the Supreme Court might refuse hearing because of the “foreign policy” component, traditionally the government’s prerogative. On other hand, just weeks ago the Supreme Court handed down a similar verdict on the admissibility of suing PA in Israeli courts.
American citizens can sue foreign governments in US courts, but Israel is reluctant to allow Jewish victims to claim compensation from Palestinian terrorist organizations lest the poor Arabs would be left with no money to buy weapons.
