Leading halachic authorities have reversed their position on IVF (in vitro fertilisation) babies, according to the Jerusalem Post. For two decades they have ruled that the bearing woman is the mother. We firmly held to the opposite opinion for simple biological reasons, and we were condemned for inflating our estimates of the number of non-Jews in Israel. Now the rabbis have embraced the same opinion: the egg-donor is the mother.
Since early 1990s, by far most egg donors in Israel have been non-Jewish. Many Jewish women underwent cheaper IVF abroad, where the eggs are 100% non-Jewish. Some of the IVF babies have already grown up and had their own non-Jewish children.
This is going too far. If Judaism was biological rather than spiritual, then there would be no Jews. How many “real middle” easter men or women are blond, with blue eyes?. None unless mixed with northern european genes. Look at Israel today, even the darker jews – sephardic – have been so mixed with the locals of where they lived that is is not funny. And what about the jews who lived in Turkey? rings a bell? fight between karaitees and Jews during Ottoman times? who won for sucking to their rulers and who is claimed not to be “real” jews? descendants of the jews. Any person in Spain can claim to be more of a jew than any blue eyed in Israel and rightfully so. Therefore, those are the ones claiming to be jews with their white skins and blue eyes – funny. I would like to know what are the chances of Abraham – who was Iraqi or Isaac, or any of the real jews had white skins and blue eyes?. And to see if they would qualify as jews after all the “mambo jambo” Rabbies have created around a Religion that was supposed to represent God’s ideas rather than Man’s. WAKE UP – NONE OF THE PATRIACHS WOULD BE JEWS. Pity.
Actually, I know plenty of Iraqi and Moroccan Jews (who fled) who have blue eyes and white skin. It’s not that rare, even look at some other middle eastern folk from Syria, Iran, and even Afghanistan (many can pass for European with light features), they can be dark or light skinned. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Rabbi & ivf are two t5hings which can’t coexist. They’re originally narrow-minded people with feature stypical of facsists actually. And Jews are crazy as well! Rabbi & ivf should never be mentioned together and then there would be much fewer problems.
Discussing this issue is as stupid as trying to answer the question how much weapon America sells each year. Women want children irrespective of their origin and that’s their right.
Jews and ivf is a tendency which takes place all over the world. I do doubt that an infertile woman or man will think about the “nationality” or “ethnicity” of their baby. They simply want to become parents but not some people who give birth to more Jews. Jews and ivf is a cry for help so to speak but the Israeli government or churh or someone else behave like real Nazis in reference to these poor people.
Other states don’t feel like helping the Jews and Israel F-35 news today may serve as the brightest example. But it seems that Jews themselves are not that willing to help their counterparts even in such a delicate thing as an idf.
First there is an egg donor non-Jew is a result. But I hope among Jews there’re adequate people who understand that ethnicity is not only what a babay get in the genes but where he grows up. I’ve heard one rabbie saying that Jews should concentrate their efforts on giving birth to as many children as they can. Then there’ll be enough of them to take care of Iran/Syria/Defence and so on. But in this article you doom infertile couples to suffer for the whole life.

Israel, donor egg and all this fuss around them are really surprising and unpleasant to a certain extent. The fact that people try to judge such an intimate thing is strange. Israel, donor egg which cause so much indignation are features of a medieval society.

Are they afraid of Israelis blue eyes? They shouldn’t I guess. In the majority of cases Arabic blood prevails anyway. And Jews are genetically the closest to Arabic blood. Israelis blue eyes don’t seem to be a problem. Perhaps, it’s the eternal desire to stand out and show how much different they are from other people.
It seems that Jews tend to make everything more complicated than it is. There’re many examples but the brightest one perhaps is the question whether Israel donates money to Haiti? It has attracted so much attention, that you may only get surprised trying to guess whose idea it was to ask Jews for help.
it’s better to have egg donors than to hear about Israeli Sex. As if that is something Israelis are particularly good at. Why don’t rabbies pay their attention to this fact?
Well that’s disappointing. I’m a unmarried woman wanting to conceive a baby that is 100% Jewish by donor egg and sperm, but it is EXTREMELY difficult to find donors that are 100% Jewish thanks to our customs. I just hope I get to bear a child of my own soon. I’ve never thought it could be so difficult. There’s too many non-jewish women and men donating egg and sperm, I mean seriously, just because you converted to our faith doesn’t mean you are Jewish by ethnicity.
