In a government briefing, Military Intelligence changed its earlier assessment that Iran will make a nuclear bomb in 2009. Now Iran is expected to stop short of test-firing a nuclear weapon, concentrating instead on enriching uranium for several nuclear bombs. When the political decision for test explosion is made, Iran will be able to build the bombs in a matter of months.
