El Baradei announced that the IAEA inspection of Iranian nuclear facility near Qom turned up nothing but a “hole in a mountain.”
An odd hole it is, surrounded by TOR-1M SAM batteries. Technically, Baradei is telling the truth: the Qom plant is an empty shell, though it is designed to host centrifuges.
In the four weeks from the official disclosure of the Qom nuclear plant to IAEA’s visit, Iran had plenty of time to clean up the place so that IAEA inspectors saw only empty halls.
