Government ready to open settlers to boycotts

In summer, the government enacted a Boycott Law, which instituted sanctions on individuals who call for boycotting Israelis. The law was meant to stop leftist boycotts of settlers.

The leftists appealed to the High Court, and the government submitted a response offering to exclude ‘or the territories it controls’ from the law, thus leaving it applicable only to Smaller Israel, and defeating the law’s purpose.
