Our countries might be at war, but that does not preclude Jews from trading with the enemy. Hamas contracted the Israeli government to supply Gaza with 7,000 animals for the upcoming Eid al Adha, a Muslim holiday of sacrifice.
On other hand, Israel has no reason to reject the profit and pass the deal to the Egyptians, who would be happy to supply Gaza.

In my humble opinion it is better to stop war at all – these countries must come to a compromise.
As for poor sheep – may be it’s time to review the old traditions in oder to save the animals?
daffy79:
You wrote “countries”, plural. Israel is a country. Gaza is not a oountry. It is either considered part of the “Palestinian territories”, or an “occupied territory” after Israel gave up all internal control of the area in 2005 because Israel still controls border crossings and monitors the high seas west of Gaza. In either case it’s not a country.
Animal sacrifice methods are not just “traditions” but actually codified in law for both Jews and Muslims.
Israel doesn’t control Gaza’s borders, Israel controls their own borders just like every other country. They have no control over who crosses into Gaza from Egypt.
In practice, Egypt cooperates with Israel in blocking Rafah
Gesheft should go on actually because there is nothing bad about it for Israel and if we can make some profit, welcome Gesheft!
It’s better to support someone than to be supported and Israel Netanyahu and Dolphin submarine perfectly prove this idea.
