Gaydamak and his Palestinian attorneys petitioned the court to open poll stations for Jerusalem’s municipal elections in Israeli Arab villages beyond the security wall. Jerusalem municipality had tried to decrease the number of voting Palestinians by claiming danger to poll-station personnel. Fatah had already called upon the East Jerusalem residents to abstain from voting, and terrorist acts are likely.
Gaydamak stands to benefit from Palestinian votes. If you think a politician cannot be dirtier than that, think of Rabin, who promised Arafat the Oslo agreement in return for Arab votes.
