As the elected Palestinian government renounced the ceasefire and Palestinian terrorist groups attacked Israel with rockets and artillery, Israel allowed UN food supplies into Gaza. The UN agency has delivered food to Arabs in Gaza for sixty years.
In what may be termed a “food for rockets” program, Israel continues its benevolent treatment of the aggressor population in Gaza. The power cuts introduced by the treacherous government of Olmert-Barak only affect Gaza at night; the daily supply of electric power is almost uninterrupted. Israel supplies power to Gaza when even Arab Egypt is unwilling to shoulder the burden: a simple $30-million power feeder from Sinai to Gaza will be constructed only three years from now.
Despite pronouncing Gaza a “hostile territory,” Israel continues supplying Palestinians with cheap, quality water from lake Kineret while Israelis consume expensive, unhealthy desalinated water.
This is a unique situation in world history; the victim state of Israel continues supporting the aggressor even as battles rage on their border. Palestinians are taking the fight deep into Israeli territory. Katyusha rockets explode in Ashkelon, and bomb shelters for Jews are being prepared in Ashdod.

Remarkable how Israel continues to give supplies to the Palestinians despite the use of terror on their part. This is also shown in Elihu Richter’s article Israeli Approvals for Medical Entry in the Shadow of Terror Attacks at the Erez Crossing.
