Diaspora leaders are not very progressive, and very corrupt

According to a study by Forward, despite their rhetoric about gender equality males make up 88 percent of the leadership in major Jewish American organizations.

The president of Yeshiva University made almost $850,000 last year, making him a top earner among his ilk. But others also received salaries in the half-a-million range—and those salaries are rising despite the dire crisis of donations. The Birthright’s president receives a salary of $350,000 even though his organization constantly complains about the lack of funds to bring young Jews to Israel.

Even Ben-Ami, the chief of the ultra-left J Street, pocketed a $200,000 salary.
