After Sderot mayor quit amid the impossibility of maintaining life in the town showered by rockets, Israeli Defense Ministry declared “special situation” in Sderot, essentially marshal law. It remains unclear how the army can improve the life in Sderot, and whether the IDF which fails to protect residents of Sderot has moral right to rule over them.
