Defense Minister atheist Ehud Barak refused the draft exemption to all new Jewish religious schools. Barak’s action is merely symbolic, as the students would be nominally enrolled in the schools approved for exemption before.
At the same time, the IDF drives the religious Jews away by decidedly mixing them into non-religious environment instead of allowing them all-religious units. In truth, the army doesn’t want religious Jews as they are immune to peacenick indoctrination, merciless to Arabs, and won’t obey the government’s orders to uproot Jewish villages.

Ehud Barak is his own worts enemy it seems. As well as being a publicly vocal argument against every religious Jew. He only continues at playing russian roulette because he thinks he’s holding all the bullets in his hand. When will someone teach him how to load the damn thing.
