That is to say: Israel can earn the respect of the Muslims but it will never earn their affection. A realistic peace aims to attain the former and only a peace shorn of reality seeks to attain that which will never happen. It is not necessary for Israel to be loved by the Muslims; only to be feared by them.

"The Torah makes allowances for non-Hebrews to live in PERIPHERAL areas insofar as they obey Noahide Laws and pose no threat, spiritually or physically."

Dear happyminyan, where exactly "bah Torah" is that to be found?

In the book of Acts (15: 13-29) there is reference to abstaining from "...things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication...". A watered down directive to the Gentiles in response to something the Jewish community had never experienced before...a mass influx of the uncircumcised world, "HaGoyeem", into a sect of Judiasm, called The Way, or the Sect of the Nazareen, "...who were first called Christians at Antioch". Acts 11:26

Is that which was obviously part of the early church's Jewish heritage, was this taken from the Noahide laws you refer to? In other words, were the "lovers of God" (ex: Theophilus and Cornelius---Luke1:3, Acts 10) that were found throughout the Roman Empire and who responded to Paul's message more enthusiastically than their fellow Jewish worshipers and leaders of the congregations where they also attended and worshiped, and where travelors like Paul were afforded the opportunity to speak---were they taking part in Judiasm as per this Noahide code, of which you refer?

Israel need only geographically consistent with her biblical borders: as far south as a bit further than the southernmost point of the Dead Sea and almost straight east from there, slight diagonal south. Eilat never belonged to us. The northern border extends far enough to include lower half (2/3?) of Lebanon. The Eastern border is pretty much as it is now except it extends a bit further east as becomes an incursion into what is now Lebanon. We take what G-d meant us to have and not an inch more. And, of course, Judea and Sumeria are ALL ours. The Torah makes allowances for non-Hebrews to live in PERIPHERAL areas insofar as they obey Noahide Laws and pose no threat, spiritually or physically. Were there stability, fewer would leave. Being such a small country, I don't descry Israelis wanting to live abroad after military service, so long as they go back! Then I will join them.

On the Muslim Brotherhood site, Israel is referred to over and over as "the occupier" so there the discussion ends. The rest is hair-splitting and that, futile.

Danny, another outstanding post.

At some point Israel will figure it out that they have to go it alone. As they always have and always ended up doing any ways.

Land and population are two essential elements Israel will need for long term survival. The massive exiting of young Jews out of Israel has to stop and the Israeli birth rate will have to climb. The Israeli brain trust and record of innovation are, now, second to none. But, those alone are not enough. As difficult as the Jewish population issue is, the land problem is even more pressing. Ultimately, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon along with the Sinai will have to be absorbed to create a Greater Israel. Modern technology, including enhanced energetic weapons, would be efficient and cost effective, although, not very popular. However, nothing Israel has ever done has been popular. So, let's just go for the land and be done with it. Why should Israel be constrained by arcane British Colonial policies? Israel should be free to set it's national boundaries, just like everyone else.

Omar, Good Grief! Every Terrorist organization worth its salt has an office in London. London should be called the Terrorist Capital of the World. I would not waste my time reading a thing posted on a Muslim Brothelhood's, excuse me, Muslim Brotherhood's web site. Neither should anyone else. Gee, the progenitors of current beheadings, suicide bombers and honor killings...guess I'll pass on your invitation to visit your web site. I have had enough of the trappings of the Religion of Peace.

Hello I would like to invite you to visit our website : http://www.ikhwanweb.com/

IKhwanweb is the Muslim Brotherhood"s only official English web site. The Main office is located in London, although Ikhwanweb has correspondents in most countries. Our staff is exclusively made of volunteers and stretched over the five continents.
The Muslim Brotherhood opinions and views can be found under the sections of MB statements and MB opinions, in addition to the Editorial Message.
Items posted under "other views" are usually different from these of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ikhwanweb does not censor any articles or comments but has the right only to remove any inappropriate words that defy public taste
Ikhwanweb is not a news website, although we report news that matter to the Muslim Brotherhood"s cause. Our main misson is to present the Muslim Brotherhood vision right from the source and rebut misonceptions about the movement in western societies. We value debate on the issues and we welcome constructive criticism.

to help inform you about your subject matter, questions
