So far Israel crushed Egypt in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973 (contrary to the propaganda you're used to, we expanded our foothold on what you think is your soil as a result of the war). Thus I see no reason why a nuclear-armed Israel should lose a fifth war with Egypt.

do you think you can attack egypt , i think the answer will be yes you can but you will be disappeared and for 2nd question to you , why Israel did not complete her attack 1967 to reach the capital cairo ? ofcoures because you were too much affraid to do that as your strategy is a short and quick war as you can not face the longe war losses .
Beleve me you can not and where you was during the october war 1973 your solders were hidden .
besure we are not depending on weapons which you steel its technology from others and if we have a good system we can challange you in all the feilds which you are proud of .
My advice is to try to live peacfully and do not think about egypt otherwise your nightmars will become true.

Danny,
as far a Egypt going to war with Israel in the future or near future seems highly unlikely. The Camp David accord states clearly that if Egypt brakes the peace treaty with Israel, the United States will automatically abandon it's ties with Egypt and side with Israel therefore leaving Egypt standing alone. This would be disastrous for our loving country and the only support Egypt would get in this case are maybe Syria, Libya and really no one else. Certainly not Russia since they probably still hold a grudge for Egypt's western block alliance after it helped it in 73. Radicalism might spawn the thougt of war but logistically it would be futile and totally defeatist. I think Egyptians are much more concerned with internal stability and economic growth than a sensless war.

I just stumbled on this site by accident and I really enjoyed all the back and forth dialogue. I am an Egyptian living in the US and am intrigued by all the tension that still exists between Israelis and Egyptians to this day. I think we can all agree that Egypt at least initially enjoyed victory in the 6 October war but was put in a difficult situation when Sadat ignored Shazni's pleas not to extend the army's SAM umbrella and gave Israel a chance to cross the canal. Given that at that moment when the Egyptian third army was surrounded was officially the end of the war (even though Israel ignored the cease fire agreement for several more days) that Israel had the upper hand. Is it fair to say that Israel won the war? I don't think so because just as events changes drastically in a matter of days in Israel's favor, it's hard to say that things could or could not have changed in favor of Egypt as well had the war proceeded. In reality, Egypt and Israel were nothing more than pawns on a chess board played by the two supper powers! In another reality, I think that Egypt gained the most from the war in that Israel was forced to move it's troop further back than the Suez line and essentially gave Egypt the territory it had gained in it's initial offensive. Danny, I too like you and all my other Egyptian brothers engaged in this forum have a certain feeling of discomfort and dislike toward the opposing side. I suppose this is the effects of a very difficult situation drasticly dictated by years of wars, differences in religion and just a common thread of human behavior as to wanting to be the final victor. I hope we all learn to live, love one another and pray to Allah that we certainly can live together on his earth in piece.

Dear mousa I apologize for being unclear in such a way that we are leaving the main subject and examine each other's patriotism...

I prefer to take back all my reprehensible over your comment..

And I hope you take my advice that when you are discussing any dispute. Be always biased to objectivity and calmness..

COMMENT 41

"don’t make my comment look like I'm begging for peace or something like this!"
We won in 1973 October war and we obligate Israel to withdraw from Sinai..
So I'm not trying to make you look like any thing..

"and because u stood against me in the comment I can’t say if you’re with Egypt or against it.."
I never stood against any beliefs; I respect all other people's thoughts..
You can go back to (comment 33) I said:
"but let me take over u some reprehensible points.." and this in Arabic means "????" and this is allowed in a fair discussion you know??

COMMENT 42

"I'm not psycho! But I'm in a Jewish site what do u expects!"
The only thing I expect is (objectivity) not (stereotypes)..Or else why are you doing in the "Jewish site" in the first place??
They have declared to the international society that they are the only reliable nation surrounded by those barbarian nations, meaning the Arab. So its time to show them that we can talk and defend our rights in an objective way. Like we did in regaining TABA..

"I'll tell untill telling time is over and the time of war comes! And when it comes I won’t talk! I will defend my country until the last of my breath"
I'm agreeing completely with you in this point but we should discuss (How to tell not how much?)
We should stop the corruption in Egypt first. Then we can talk about defending our country.. Meaning..ya 7seen "fakar!" 3malt eah fe el 7arb ely goa? w ba3deen fakar hate3mel eah fe ely bara..W l3elmak ana mo3ared Fe 7araket kefaya bas zah2an mn el noom ely e7na feeh "Etfarag 3ala pernameg m3a hykel 3ala el gezera" w hoa da ely m7'aly lo3'aty ka2eny mosh masry bas ana masr btegry Fe damy..w mosh mohem tsada2ny..

i don't know..but when i read ur comment i felt u're a foreigner. i don't know why i had that feeling..

because:

1-that 1st part of ur comment, i don't know, i didn't mention islam or said u shouldn't be proud of being egyptian, i said i doubt! i didn't say "be ashamed because u're egyptian!" and that makes my doubts grow more! i'm not psycho! but i'm in a jewish site what do u expect!

2-even if they don't want to listen i'll tell untill telling time is over and the time of war comes! and when it comes i won't talk! i will defend my country until the last of my breath! (i think u know that, u said u're egyptian!:D lol) so plz don't ridicule my comment i'm doing something positive here..but thanks for reminding me that i'm going far from the main idea..i thank u for that!

3, 4, 5- they're the same thing that i said about the 2nd part..

but i'm still wondering! why did u only notice the negative parts of my comment and didn't even talk about the other parts! i gotta tell u it's strange from a fellow egyptian that he doesn't support his other fellow and tell him thanks or something like this..

i hope this one appears and not banned!

and fadi, about standing for peace..

u say i stand for peace..

that's partially right..i can't say it's wrong..

but in the end of my comment i said :

"i’d rather dying defending my own country, than dying invading other people’s countries.."

so don't make my comment look like i'm begging for peace or something like this!

though i still want to clarify that i wanted to talk about the basic things...the motives or something..

and because u stood against me in the comment i can't say if u're with egypt or against it..

i don't know. i can't judge u..but u didn't answer the expectible answer that is expected from any egyptian..

i hope u do well in life..god bless u..and i hope u read it too! lol..
