quite amazing how alike our writings are even though our styles differ...it will be awhile before we can be linked up as I must make necessary up-grades...you know and eye know why they always send in the wrong guys lately...huh...you say it so more eloquently than I where I just flat out say it...crude although not rude...and crude is the root of the problem...how far can we go back in time now that the clock has stopped?...not to say your're not blunt and to the point...as you most certainly are...reaching further than I've dared to go until today...I'm changing or blooming within my own season and may our bravery 'and those of the ones we don't know about' be an inspiration to the others we reach to wake up to the real smell of their Arabian Coffee...

Why be so sad about oil? The Middle East supplies only about 15% of the US oil consumption. Russia would gladly take over the shipments.

"W" failed to see the reality his father saw in Iraq. You take out Hussein and you create a power vacuum in a very sensitive area of the Middle East. For the left, I have one bit of advice, sell the Hummer or Navigator and buy a bike. If Iran takes Iraq, you have an enemy that has the third largest army in the world and is about to go nuclear. I think our prospects for continued oil supply are then nonexistent.

To Dr. Forbush: I assume, Obadiah refers to the members of Baker's commission as the lawyers who chart the military course.

Whilst the the overthrow of Saddam Hussein was a moral obligation of the international community not just America and a few of her allies, the execution has been indescribably inept. From what you have written here, it seems nothing has changed. Blind leading the blind, naivity, muddled thinking and conflicts of interest have bedevilled this project from the outset and it's getting worse by the day.

Most congressmen are lawyers by degree. Bush is the odd duck being an MBA instead of a lawyer. We would do better to have a rational person as president that can lead instead of an emotional person who follows what his advisors tell him to do. We wouldn't even be in Iraq if it weren't for the Neo-cons scaring the shit out of everyone...
