What can I say? It is a commandment to reproach the Jews who ignore the Torah. We're just observing a commandment, nothing more.

When God willed the Jews to take over Canaan, it took Joshua considerable fighting to do the divine will.

Although part of the article simply states facts, I disagree with it's approach. Torah-observant Jews should not have a combative attitude against our less-religious counterparts. Why should we expect the percentage of religious Jews to increase exclusively by means of the birth-rate? All Jews have the ability to return to Hashem, and I have personally seen hundreds doing so. Why give up on them?

Furthermore, why promote the idea that our own strength is a means to solve problems? After all of our history, can we possibly say "kohi ve-otzem yadi asu li et ha-hayil ha-ze"[my strength and my hands made this great deed]? Is not the essence of being "religious" the belief that whatever means chosen to an end can only be successful through Hashem's will?

Last of all, even if somebody looks secular, we don't know how good of a person he is, so why divide society based on looks, as it says, "man sees the face but Hashem sees the heart"?

And what would have happened to the Jewish people without that revolt in light of Hadrian's reforms?

And, for example, Rambam, a product of fifteen centuries of "interbreeding" is also suspect?

Steve;

Caananites
Judaism teaches not to murder but one can defend oneself
Read both and you will know which is correct. Besides if one is more ancient and never been wrong, why distrust it.
Don't blindly follow anyone but judge what they say with how is lines up with the truth.
If you break one point of the law, you are a lawbreaker.
We battle not against flesh and blood...

Simeon and Levi (Schem).
Pinchas.
Moses (Midianites).
King David. Psalm 58: Righteous man shall rejoice when he sees vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Mordechai (70,000 pagans killed).
Maccabee.
Rambam (Laws of Kings 9:14): A gentile who violates a Noahide law should be killed by sword.
Judaism, you should know it, is a pretty violent religion.

Danny the Admin #13, you wrote:

"Destroy first, think later".

Are you kidding? That is not a jewish though or behaviour. Danny - you seem very uninformed about Judaism. It feels a bit strange to say it, but is this a hate site?

Judaism is not about hate. I might have gotten your and or this sites message wrong, I certainly hope so.

Your namesake presided over the Jewish slaughter of 70,000 gentiles in the Persian Empire. That's on hatred.
"Destroy first, think later", of course, doesn't refer to meaningless destruction. First, think strategically. Then, destroy. Afterwards, deal with consequences.
Bar Kochba was supported by most rabbis, and was an alternative to assimilation after Romans practically banned Judaism. Maccabees, likewise, invited Romans to save Jews from Greeks who wanted to install Reform Judaism.
