The enemy is within. Foreign enemies are not critically dangerous. Iran, even nuclear, won’t attack Israel. Egypt lacks mobile forces for a thrust through Sinai. Syria desperately needs integration in the world community, and claims nothing but Golans. A bunch of Palestinians is no enemy, either. Arabs hate Israel, but have no means or interest in waging total war against her. Arabs capitulated to various powers before, and abandoned attempts to destroy Israel. For some time into the future, the borders of Israel are safe. It is the Israel proper that is doomed. Israeli ruling clique, not the flimsy Palestinians, is responsible for shrinking Israeli borders. No other country would give away much of its territory – its core, ideologically significant territory – because of a thousand casualties in several years. Car accidents claim more lives than hapless Palestinian terrorists. Israeli government, not foreign powers, is responsible for bulging Arab population in Israel, assured to reach demographic dominance in decades. Western powers resettled Greek, Turkish, German and other populations to achieve regional stability and comfortable monocultural environment. Arab countries expelled masses of Palestinians. Foreign policy sets no barrier against the expulsion of Arabs from Israel. When America fights two wars against Muslims, and scores of antiterrorist operations in Islamic countries, when public sentiment in America, France, Germany, and Russia is strongly anti-Muslim, Israeli government is solely responsible for preserving the Arab time bomb.
Belief in the wise Israeli government is comforting; recognition of treachery in the core of Jewish nation disheartens. Quasi-conservatives who foam at the mouth about Ahmadinejad or Assad are convenient for Israeli regime. They invent the enemies or rather inflate them to threatening proportions. Inflated foreign threats overshadow domestic evils. Before ripping a sliver out of Ahmadinejad’s eye, think about the log in Olmert’s.
And don’t forget the self-appointed Council of Settlements, a treacherous leadership on payroll of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The Soviet Empire similarly established various bodies which ostensibly represented, for example, politically suspect writers, but actually policed them on behalf of the state. Where the leftists oppose the real Jews head-on, the Council derails the struggle. In that sense, the Council is more dangerous than the left parties. It is not worthy of the Gush Emunim’ heritage. Small bureaucratic victories against the government machine do not save the day; the time for niceties is gone. Before fighting the leftists, abandon the pseudo-right establishment, such as Likud and the Council of Settlements. Act out of your own conscience.
