Danny -- Hard compared to the easy life of the lazy, illiterate, drugged-out pig-people living off welfare, which is what many of the lettuce pickers' children will end up as. There is no doubt that the poor in the US live better than the middle class in the rest of the world or even the rich in much of the world. Just one reason that it is so hard to motivate the American people.

Well, then, it's a good thing I'm not Mexican, or Indian.
The foreign workers that are brought to Israel as slaves are doing a lot worse, I'm sure.
The irony is that they're probably even worse in their home country.
So, god has created man in his image, and man has created an abomination in the world of god.
Disappointed, god decided to leave man to his own deviations.

Erick -- If you were one of the Visigoth Conquistadors that rule Mexico, you would be doing pretty darn well. But if you were one of the little Indian illiterates sent to the US to pick lettuce, even with free health care and double voting privileges, it would be a very hard life.

Karole du Pont -- I had a very good German friend, long ago in college here in the US, who was pursuing his philosophy degree. He told me that he found it much easier to study Emmanuael Kant, his primary focus, in English translation rather than the original German, because of the circuitous and indefinite rambling style of the academic, philosophical German. I have a similar problem with your posts. What are you saying?
===
One thing I do understand (I think) is your statement that "Jesus' preoccupation was about creating a legal culture ..." That is simply incorrect -- Jesus was a mystic, not a "constitutionalist". He was concerned with the life of the spirit, not the political organization of the state.

In Canada, we have no hero culture, no cult of being a rightist or a leftist but we certainly have a strong legal culture... proportional to recognition of cultural survival of all Canada's cultural communities. We have Native lands where the first language is the Language of the tribe and is administered by the tribe and one has to be a member of the tribe to establish oneself.
The first object is the survival of a community. Cultural genocide is also a form of genocide. Now Jews have to define what are the parameters of Jewish Law and cultural identity.
In other words, if Jews are only one religion and no nation according to some opponents they all had one common king before the post-Solomon Era. The home of these Kings was Jerusalem... The hope of every Jew is to return to Jerusalem where their King Solomon was given the highest wisdom by God and did make peace with all his neighbours.
It was King Solomon who made Jerusalem the city of peace by wisdom... everybody else Post-Solomon used the sword.
Jesus' preoccupation was about creating a legal culture that would be a constitutional parameter allowing to observe the distance in between the law and its true application for Jesus could observe with his own eyes the Post-Solomon Era both in the Jewish and non-Jewish communities and schools of thought.
One of the main problems in dealing with Jewish identity worldwide is understanding Jesus the constitutionalist and the demonstration that Christians have failed to understand Jesus as a Jewish constitutionalist is that very few can explain: 'Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword'?(Matthew 10:34) Jesus was not only born a Jew but also a constitutionalist in the Jewish tradition in the Post-Solomon Era. Jews are about upholding the law of God and the law of God must be sustained by a just legal culture towards everyone. A just legal culture does not mean non-recognition of cultural appearance on earth for everyone is part of this earth's cultural ecology of world science and knowledge.
The USA could fight with the Navajo codes of their Natives in WWII this is why no enemy could defeat their coding system...justice is also defense.
