Also, remember that one of the first things the Nazis did was strip all citizens of any right to bear arms. The Jews were totally at the mercy of the Nazis; it was not a question of ’submitting’. Any time one Jew tried to escape or resist, another ten or twenty Jews got shot where they stood.

There was plenty of courage and fighting spirit on the part of Jews outside the camps. The Warsaw Ghetto is one such example.

That said, I do agree with some of what you say. It does now seem as though the Israelis are resigned to suicidal compromises, rather than standing firm and refusing to give up another inch. Then again, remember that Israel is reliant on America to an extent that precludes simply saying ‘no’ to unreasonable Palestinian demands.

I agree with the article, except that it forgets the window of opportunity that existed of escaping to the Soviet Union. The rabbanim were against it, and that was a terrible error.

And if I do not understand anything generally, I either look it up on my own or ask questions, which are usually snubbed.

I love this blog spot. I really do not feel that I have anything to prove to you and do not feel like going into the details of how I know more than you probably would guess about the political dynamics of Israel and the Middle East, because sometimes, it just is one of those things I prefer to listen about rather than propound or espouse knowing on. Plus, when you have such stunnars like Obadiah and Danny and all the commentors on this blog looking like freakin Super star rocknrolla’s for being so smart and brave, even you, sometimes, I just prefer to listen.

But, when you want to pretend to alienate me with your esteemed knowledge that is supposedly beyond me or insult an establishment designed to assist with the best intentions, in a complex situation, I have no problem applying universal law to let you know that respecting your elders and your leaders is definitely in your best interest, even if you have to work your own a** off to understand their situation and put yourself in their shoes.

I am not letting you have anything, you entitle yourself to your opinions, I just see that the leaders of Israel bust their a**e* like no other diplomats in the world and have to basically deal with lunatics on a daily basis and the people of Israel are forced into military service with negative impacts on the psyche of the population as a whole for the long term, and it is depressing that there are messy situaitons and bad people who want Israel to suffer. So, bashing on the electorate is just adding insult to injury. In my opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion.

And, if you are going to launch insults at civil servants doing the best they can given the situations and their experience, you should learn to spell correctly. Otherwise, you just sound like a whiner in a peanut gallery who is dissatisfied because they could not be a leader in a high level conflict area if they tried, so they sit around and pride themselves on their minute accomplishments and collegial membership in an ethinic group, attempt to classify others in that group to cover up your own lack of effort, and then just end up spell insults wrong.
