Mike, so far you didn't cite any of the alleged errors in the article.
That Obadiah's suggestions are in line with Saddam policies is very reasonable. After all, there was no terrorism in Iraq during Saddam's time.
Shiites do a lot of car bombings, too.

I'm sorry but the articles contains way too many errors. "Bring back secular Baathists to power and arm them against Iraqi Shiites".. this just sounds exactly like Saddam himself speaking from his grave. The writer of the article should not change the facts for his own sake. It is clear to the rest of the world that the Kurds and Shiites were the victims and not the Sunnis. Even right now the Sunnis are responsible for all the U.S troops being killed and all the carbombs targeting women and children on crowded markets.

That would be beautiful, but how realistic it is to instill democracy in Iraq? Not a single Arab or Muslim nation embraced democracy so far. I doubt that most Islamic men wan to part with ok for Israel and America; I don't care whether it was good for the locals.I'm not sure who the "we" were shot at by Saddam. Israelis? Obadiah noted that it's impossible to miss a city with Scuds. Saddam deliberately missed: he posed as anti-Israeli force but refrained from provoking Israeli response.I also see nothing wrong with the religion of Islam. Obadiah calls it a decent communal religion for barbarians. The problem is, Arabs and Persian do act like grown men. They fight and kill for their ideals, and refuse to accept the foreign ideology of democracy.

How about instead of returning to some form of the Status Quo, we go for a new direction, like maybe solving the problems? This would be supporting the democracy government, giving it time to root out the ignorance Islam provides, replacing it with freedom and self-reliance, something most men instinctively want. It may take a generation, but unless you'd like to provide evidence that what was before was somehow a good thing (in the sense of being good for Arabs and Persians and others), I'd say we're fixing a problem and the solution set doesn't include the previous status quo by simple logic. Progress for mankind requires that all mankind come into the present, and that we reject religions that worship ignorance like Islam and Global Warming, both of which require suspension of belief in the here and now, and require a faith in the already proven lie. It is only when mankind stops worshipping at the altars of political correctness that our problems will be solved. War is necessary, especially when you are threatened. Did you forget we were being shot at by Saddam? That we were already at war? That he threatened war daily? I'm sorry we can't return Saddam to power to put your little house of cards back together, but Arabs and Persians will have to learn to act like grown men now.
