It is fair to say that war is a seemingly unending cycle of violence, no? And that humanity is on its umpteenth revolution of that cycle? Is it not feasible that we can (and will) one day get too dizzy and decide to stop this merry-go-round ride from hell? I think human beings have the inherent ability and responsibility to consciously make an effort to change, to stop being a victim to "human nature". Yes, life is movement and change, constatly shifting, in flux as you say. Does this change necessarily have to be violent? If you say yes, then why? Just because it has always been in the past? We are supposed to learn from our mistakes, not repeat them again and again. Believe you me, I do not have an answer to the world's problems any more than you do, but I do have my intuitive judgment, as do you. And it is telling me that we are on the wrong ride. Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Try to quite the angry voice of indignation, release your conditioned "patriotic" self righteousness and listen to the faint but clear song of yourself. Isn't it beautiful? It may be saying that violence and war will not led you to what you are seeking. It may just be right. So this sounds a little new-agey and "lefty-looney" or whatever derogatory, negative and detrimental term you want to call it. I'm sure it will be easy for any cynic to come along and tear this comment to shreds, as is to be expected from today's society. Don't get me wrong, I have my own internal cynic and I think a certain amount of incredulousness is healthy, but if something feels right you should go with it. And what I said above feels right. Does your support of this war feel right? Even after you close your eyes and take a deep breath?Peace be with you.
