G-d may very well value Israel more than any group of sentient beings. If G-d were to intimate Germany’s extinction, would it be any different from the Midianites’ fate? Or Sodom’s? It would seem that only G-d or his command through the angels can order extinction. If an enemy invokes the intent to annihilate Israel, that’s good enough for me. And we are commanded to destroy Amalek in every generation, both the spiritual demons within AND the self-proclaimed enemy without.

On the other hand, it has also been said that Hashem has invested every thing that exists with a life force—even a stone. So it is all supposed to be here and, as Ray Bright and the Anthropic Principle points out, the creation would seem meaningless without human life. But, in the end, if deemed worthy of annihilation, that too is as it should be. In the end, it is not what we want, but what G-d wants.

Though nuking Germany does have an appeal of poetic justice, it may well be the recipe for ending all intelligent life on our planet.

Nuking Israel is not a solution either: Even 10 Israeli nukes exploding over 10 major US cities would end the US.

If there was a God, surely he would not give the secrets of nuclear physics into the hands of tribal humanity who’s moral development is stuck in Bronze Age. It is clear that no such Mr. God is going to stop us: We are alone and facing a terrible responsibility. This whole planet, this whole Galaxy, whole Universe will lose it’s meaning and purpose once we exterminate ourselves.
