To Beta: My opinion is that the left blackmailed Sharon. They installed the Attorney General and he charged Sharon's sons sufficiently to send to jail for millennia. Then Sharon was in their hands. Obadiah wrote that the best soldiers make the worse politicians. Begin lost for Israel Sinai, and Sharon - Gaza.

"Seeking to placate the West and the Arabs, Sharon and his government not only abandoned Gaza, but forcibly removed the Jews who lived there in their own houses."How is is possible that Arik Sharon would ever seek to placate the Arabs?I can't completely let go of the idea that he had something up his sleeve...Obadiah, just what could Sharon have been planning?

I have just read an article from a Rabbi at Ascent in Safed, that all Jews in Eretz Israel need to ask for forgiveness from all the residents of Gush Katif for the suffering they have endured at the expense of all of us. Please advise what organizations are helping the residents of Gush Katif so that we may make a charitable contribution to do what little we can to help out. Until the Jews of Israel make it right for our brothers and sisters of Gush Katif, we all are in peril. Thank you. I hope to hear from you soon.
