It was a movement created by assimilationists who believed with all their heart that the Jews only hope against anti-Jewishness was to coopt as many ways of the goyim as they could possibly grab. They were more German than any German and swore that it would never, ever happen. How could it? They had risen to unheard of heights these Children of the Enlightenment and iin the end what happened? Reform and Liberal Jusdaism convinced people that they could pick and choose facets of their faith that meshed with various aspects of their personality. In other words, they turned religion on its head. We must turn OURSELVES to suit Hasherm, not pick and choose so that what Hashem says now suits us! The idea is preposterous and furthermore created a laissez faire attitude that allowed complacent Jews to march to their deatsh like sheep to the slaughter and to me that is the greatest crime of those two horrendous movements. Reformism has nothing to do with Holocaust. Nothing. Anti-semitism was entrenched in Germany a lot of centuries before. Jews were living in Ghettos there, under extreme oppresive rules then, and antisemitism was rampant. Antisemitism just exists. It is all. Who has to do a ortodox rabbi blaming other jews? Rabbis are a farse. Reformism is a bigger farse. The only cure for antisemitism is easy and well written in our Tanach: living in Israel. A jewish land. That is the cure. No bullshitting. Ovadiah is a excellent writer at the truth hour, I cannot understand why taking care of what a rabbi says or don't. As for me, all of them can discuss for ethernity.
