Even Hamas’ semi-independent Izz ad-Din Kassam military wing refrained from significant attacks on Israel until forced to adopt a militant posture by the continuing restrictions Israel imposed on Gaza following Hamas’ takeover.

You end the piece by blaming Israel for the brutal character of Hamas' military wing? Lord have mercy! The fact, as you acknowledge, that they MADE attacks previous to Israel's action (howbeit{"in}significant"), only exposes your train of thought in this matter as, I don't know, rather unnecessarily Machiavellian. You don't need to play to the politically correct masses that insist that there must always be some logical reason for Hamas's actions. There is nothing reasonable or logical about Islam! Unless it is that cowardly people can be terrorized into submission until the day that the Beast rules the world.

Hamas is not an exception to the rule it is the rule in the Middle East. The Western world live in their own little bubble, and projects its own idealism to the Middle East. When we refuse to deal with certain groups we are showing our own insecurity. A strong Jewish leader would communicate in clear language our demands and our rights granted by Hashem to this land. Israel and the rest of the Western world treats the Arabs like little kids. "You have been bad young man, now go to your room!" The Arabs in Yesha should be held responsible for every atrocity, but not by locking them in their own rooms (i.e. Wall). A free and confident Jewish society should be encouraged to spread through out Yesha and show strength of purpose. Confidence and strength of character brings respect. Jews should be walking, eating, drinking, working, trading, sleeping, etc, etc in Yesha with complete certitude. The wall we are separating ourselves from the heart of Judaism is not keeping the Arabs out its keeping us in, and only walled cities get invaded and destroyed.

That's correct what you said. And for this reason and many others we suffer her in Israel from the leftist grip on the country. One day that will change, and probably very drastically, not because of wisdom acquired, but out of necessity.

Were Israel a normal country, Peres would have been put on trial for treason long ago, and executed as the slimy traitor he is. Moshe Fried
