From the perspective of many years later:
Yes, indeed Bush was a Moron, but in retrospect, compared to the Hussein Oboma, Bush's presidency seems like golden times.

Have you met each and every one of us? Then how can you say that? Many members of the esteemed right wing act the same childish way. As far as what we should be doing? We should have used our resources in Afganistan and Pakistan. 4,000 American lives lost in Iraq, for what? Or do you believe Iraq was a terrorist infested country before we went in? Before we went in there was only one terrorist, now we have created thousands more. Thank you Mr. President. Is that better? * years to catch the people that attacked us with no results, how can you help but refer to Bush using derogatory names?

It is the Left that is responsible for the plight of our public educational system! Don't think, for one minute, Mr. Shorer that the majority of Americans are as ignorant or as gullible as you allude our President to be! By the way, Christians already have a country it's called America!

The third option would be turn the mid-east into a glass parking lot, but even I think that it might be a bit extreme,,,but if push EVER comes to shove, then there is little options. Personally I don't want to lose anymore military personel when we can push a button.,,,,,

i find that amazing that you knock Bush and America. if it was not for the superior weapons supllied by America, Isreal would have been lost in the 67 war. Isreal has a right to exist and only through american intervention has done so. America Vetos every motion or resolution that is not favourable to Isreal. Had America been fair the Palestaianins would be living in peace in their home land as well instead of extreme poverty. Please provide a balanced opinion.

I don't claim to have all the answers, though I'm impressed by this websites (Shoher's) brilliant analysis and agree with most of it. It looks more and more inevitable that the US can only do two things: 1. withdraw and let the Middle East go to hell (almost literally) with the danger that Iran will become a world power and possibly unify the Islamic world against the non-islamic world with the result that the war would soon reach everybodys shores; 2. increase (not decrease) its military involvement in the region, attacking directly both Iran and Syria. The question boils down to whether one wants to wait to die in their homes due to this Jihad waged on us by the Islamic world or one wants to prepare to die in the battlefield and win this war. I would gladly die in the battlefield rather than be killed in my own home.

It would be nice for just once for the folks on the left to stop the name calling when speaking about the Presiden. I was definately not a supporter of former President Clinton, but I at least had the common decency to refer to him as either President Clinton, or The President. It seems to me that one of the main things you folks on the left lack is what used to be called "manners". Almost each and every one of you consider yourselves as intellectuals, way smarter than us average joes. But you don't have a clue as to how to be gracious even to your political opponentsJust for the record Shoher, WHAT would You suggest that the US do to fight the Islamo-facists? I constantly hear on the left what we shouldn't be doing, but I have yet to hear ANYONE on your side of the political fence come up with a better solution that would at the same time protect Americans. Btw, let us please keep it civil
