Obadiah, too, suggests dismembering Iraq but instead of creating 3 new states there, give Shiite and Sunni parts to the Iraqi neighbors in return for ending the Iranian nuclear program, and establishing Kurdistan in return to the Kurds' abrogating their claims to Turkish territory.

IraqBelieving that G*d has a plan for the middle East, men still pursue their own solutions oblivious to the "hand above". If the USA was to follow the British example in India, and divide Iraq into its three etnic/religious groups, a little pain now would stabilise the region eventually. If the Us wants the oil then let it negotiate separately with the Kurds, Shites and Sunni. Something for everyone and at a cheaper price.Regards and Shalom.

Cogent and intelligent analysis of the situation on the ground in Iraq. Why Bush and his people seem to insist on a set of "facts" that clearly have no basis in reality is mindboggling. Nice work.
