The only people who want such a system restored are the people who think they would be in control of it. But you cannot remain in control of an irrational system like that... look at what happened to the Nazis. It wasn't Jews who brought them down, it was their own sense of invincibility. They felt invincible because they believed too much of their own propaganda, while renouncing the rational systems of thought which would have saved them from destruction (for example, by not opening the eastern front when they did).
