There is no problem citing a kosher Jew Danny. It is not his fault, nor ours for the goyim making him into a pagan idol. I have no problem quoting him when it’s kosher. Also, his statement that I quoted is long, long before the Talmud. It is funny how we have become so afraid of someone. What is also interesting is if you do some research on Perkei Avot, you will find out whom many of the sayings where taught from. His students teachings we follow daily as Jews. It’s such a sham to slander and slight a kosher Jew, and replace it with another version of a set of books written hundreds of years later. Give credit where credit is due, rebuke where nescessary. Go for the truth Danny, not what’s comfortable. Shavua Tov.

Wolpe is right about what? Saying the Rebe is the messiah, well he’s dead last time I checked, and if he will be from the dead (as the rebe himself quotes the mashiach may come from) it could be anyone including Jesus. You complain about the Samaritans not being Jews, I rather question the same of those who follow our own cult, Chabadism! Replacement theology, idolotry. Even the Karaites are Jews who follow less replacement theology then most, I am sure you have problems with them also. Take it from the “reformer” ‘take the plank out of your own eye before you try to take the speck out of others.’

And one more thing. Your entire line of argument about those “specially indoctrinated leftists” reminds me of all those “old communists” who claimed even when imprisoned in the GULAG that Communism was a great system and that it was Stalin that was the problem.
Stalin was not the problem and neither are your mythical “specially indoctrinated leftists”. ZIONISM is the problem. It always was. And it always will be, until it is replaced by JUDAISM. Not “true” Judaism, or “reformed” Judaism, but the one and only JUDAISM of TORAH FROM SINAI. In other words, Kahane was right, but Sholom Dov Wolpe is even more right.

I don’t blame the SOLDIERS. I blame the IDF. As an institution. And membership in this institution ipso facto assigns blame to individuals. Red Army soldiers executed captured members of the SS. They did not ask any particular member of the SS whether or not he personally participated in an atrocity or if he merely stood by and let it happen.

Your argument about “innocent bystanders” does not hold water. How are soldiers, much less OFFICERS, “bystanders”? When I put on my epaulettes and swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic, I excluded myself from the category of “bystander”. As long as I wore the uniform, my honor as a soldier and as an officer DEMANDED that I uphold my oath, regardless of consequences. I expect nothing less from those who put on any other uniform. Either they should have kept their honor by removing their uniforms and taking up arms or they should have kept their honor by opening fire against those DOMESTIC ENEMIES who gave the criminal orders to perpetrate a pogrom. And no, I do not refer to “civil disobedience”. Civil disobedience is for civilians. When soldiers disobey, it is called “mutiny” if it is led by enlisted men, “coup” if it is led by officers, “revolution” if it succeeds and “revolt” if it fails. This issue IS black and white. You either have honor or you do not. You either obey HASHEM or you do not. You are either with the Jewish People or you are not.

P.S. If you “forget the Talmud” you reject Judaism. Step on that road and it leads inevitably to Gilad Atzmon and his ilk. Is that where you want your children to end up?

Nonsense. In your analogy, my argument would amount to a bystander doing nothing against the armed and numerous criminals.
Civil disobedience among IDF soldiers would be wonderful, and many groups work toward that end, but it is wrong to blame every soldiers for actions of *specially trained*, brainwashed, indoctrinated detachments.
Your world is too black and white. I don’t mind a small number of Black and Indian adherents to Judaism here, but not the hundreds of thousands of them.
Forget the Talmud for a moment. Go meet the Samaritans and feel some awe before them. They are the best Jews.
