But there are also good reasons : 1)If arab neighbours attack Israele and Nato responds, the blame will be equally distributed on Nato and not only on Israel. In this way the western world will be involved and also the western media. 2)The idf will have less losses and costs 3)It will be a strong deterrent for arab neighbours to get involved in a conflict (see now Iran) 4)................... regards you mention all the good reasons not to join Nato.

But, as the Rebbe M"HM has told us, we must act within nature in a Kosher way in order to achieve the Good that Hashem expects of us. If we do, then He will help. But if, G-d forbid, we pretend that everything is due to our own power, we are told we will not see success. We must do and trust, and acknowledge Hashem when we succeed. I hope that makes clear what I mean by asserting that our safety is only in Hashem. Just to follow up.
