The only legitimate concern of the West is that the new Iraqi regime remains non-aggressive toward other countries.

Don't we want it to be aggressive towards Iran?

I am still wondering what prompted the US to believe in unsophisticated info about Hussein's WMD.

This led them into a totally useless, expensive & counterproductive war. Al Qaida was a negligible force by 9/11, they just had beginner's luck.
Now it is a force to be reckoned with.

By now there is no endgame in sight. Sunni & Shiites are there to fight each other till the cows come down from the pasture.

Obama could have let Iraq like De Gaulle left Algeria & Kissinger left Vietnam.
Obama even could have declared victory & leave.

The Iraq was started as a mystery & will go into history as a mystery.

The entire region is being stirred up to be aggressive by the collective inability and unwillingness of the West to oppose Islam and Muslim terror in any meaningful way for the last 40 years. It's that simple, Robert. Starting from Jimmy Carter and his cowardice reaction, continue with a moronic incompetence of G.W. Bush and ending with the Black Wolf in sheep's clothes - the leftie demagogue Hussein Obama, the one who will destroy the civilization as we know it and sell it to the barbarians.
Israel is just the victim and the scapegoat in that show of White man's guilt and degradation. The Israeli leaders know that, but are helpless to stop the inevitable catastrophe that has been in the making since the Vietnam syndrome and defeatism has overtaken the minds of the West. Based on the lack of reaction/support from the US during recent incident in the sea, they already sold us.
At present, we have no one to rely onto, but on our God and our Nukes. May He help us go through this.

The only legitimate concern of the West is that the new Iraqi regime remains non-aggressive toward other countries.

This is exactly why The West stays in Iraq and isn't going to leave willingly - because the real goal has always been to formally regionalize and assimilate as part of a more global, imperial project. If we are paying attention, the entire region is being stirred up to be aggressive. Towards whom? The West? Somewhat, though the planners are working hard to turn the regional attention towards whom they're trying to use as their perpetual scapegoat - held up, front and center - for actually being behind the reason 'The West' is in the region to begin with.

And Israeli leaders have either naively - or willingly - gone along with this charade that, if it continues, will end badly for Jews - not to mention the rest of the peoples in the region.
