As to how I “know” that Sharon planned for Hamas to take over Gaza – EVERYONE knew that Sharon was hoping to spark a Palestinian civil war by pulling out of Gaza. I just think that it was done incorrectly (NEVER give gifts without requiring the proper protocol of acceptance from the Arabs – something Israel has yet to learn) and the great benefits of Palestinian civil war will end up being minimal, at best.

My personal view is one of “Chetzi-Transfer” – I would give Gaza to the Pals but they can’t have one inch of Judea or Samaria. It is far too much of a security risk to let the Palestinians remain in the West Bank.

And, if they kept causing problems from Gaza, then they would have to be flushed down to Sinai, eventually.

Hamas taking over Gaza shows the world a bit of the nature of the Palestinians, but, the fact is, the world doesn’t care. Hamas could be feeding infants to pit bulls and no one would care too much.

Any Israeli tactic, or strategy, that depends on world opinion is destined for failure, since world opinion is anti-Jew and always will be.

I, for one, am not very impressed with the notion that Hamas taking over Gaza is very good for Israel. There is the minor advantage of splitting the West Bank and Gaza (politically – whatever “politics” means to Palestinians) but it is not worth the cost.

Sharon’s move to have been a great one, since this was his obvious intention.

Oh yeah? Is that what he told you? Did you talk to him lately? Can you explain me any other “obvious” intentions of other previous “geniuses” behind of giving back everything after 1967?

Then you would have to consider Sharon’s move to have been a great one, since this was his obvious intention. Personally, I think that Arabs fighting each other is like nuclear fusion, good in theory but impossible to contain in reality.

The Hamas rule brandishes Palestinians as terrorists, shows them unable of statehood and hostile to Israel, and removes the peace process from the agenda.

Well, the Palestinians have been obvious terrorists, as a population, for a long, long time. Anyone who didn’t realize it until Hamas came around is too stupid to have reasonable dialogue with, anyway.

The worst thing Israel could do now is to invade Gaza to clean out Hamas for Fatah’s benefit and to justify Israeli leftists and the American Administration bent on the peace with Palestinians.

Israel should take a security border from Gaza (should have taken, already), and should continue to clear and ANNEX more land for security everytime they cause a problem.

But, we both know that the current Israeli government isn’t up to any of these tasks, nor those you are calling for. Livni is screaming about bringing the UN into Gaza!

And we can all thank Sharon for leaving Israel with these morons at the helm.
