I’d just like to add that news stories must be kept simple for the masses they are intended to entertain.
(That’s right – entertain)
So the story cannot contain any complex, or ambiguous moral lessons.
There are ‘good guys’ and ‘bad guys’. The good guys are always right, and the bad guys are always wrong.
And they cannot switch places, because that will damage the news agency’s credibility, which is much more important than non-profitable values like truth, or justice.
So you can be just and righteous all you want – if the media has decided to label you as the bad guy, you’re gonna stay the bad guy.
Might as well act like one and make our borders secure, while casting fear into the hearts of barbarians, and westerners alike.
The masses respect only those who they fear.

Great article Ovadiah. You are right, the xtians are perplexed by our refusal to accept their man-god-idol-image, why, because it has nothing to do with him, Torah, or anything that he factually taught. Maybe they should as “the reformer(as you refer to him) says to take the beam out of ones eye before they try to take the speck out of ours.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. And I’m usually pretty eloquent. I would only add that the American gov’t will scream and yell to assuage the Saudis and the liberals. The US will even play at diplomacy, talk about “peace” and “2-state solutions” but won’t force the issue and Israel won’t comply anyway. So, as you say, better to draw the boundry and rebuild the Holy Temple.

SO WE MADE IT THROUGH THE MOST NIGHTMARE SCENARIO (G-D IS

WITH ISRAEL). Some of you may have heard about the radiological bomb that

Somalian Pirates by chance came upon. The facts are that the Somali Pirates took

hold of an Iranian chartered ship thinking they could hold it for ransom. Instead,

over twenty Somali Pirates died from radiological poisoning. What they did was

thwart the expected Hezbollah/Iranian attack on Israel’s coast which was meant as a

precursor to full-blown war as well as a way to keep Israel from being able to

attack Iran before the possible Obama administration comes into effect when there

will be no chance of attack as Obama is anti-Israeli. The bomb was a composite of

high explosives packed with fine grain powder that is highly radiological. When

the bomb went off near Israel, the dust would cover the coastal cities disrupting

life in Isarel as we know it for some time right at Yom Kippur. n expectation of a

counter attack, Iran’s friends, the Hezbollah and Syria were prepared for all-out

war. Instead, it did not happen. We must now await what comes

Absolutely correct. Inevitably, Israel will be condemned no matter what she does. If Israel gives back land, she’s an occupier. If she feeds and waters her executioners, she’s accused of starving them. If Israel doesn’t respond to repeated bombings, Israel is an aggressor. Give a PhD to an Arab woman at an Israeli university? You’re an apartheid state.

All attempts to avoid the yellow star will result in getting the yellow star. Better strategy: do what is necessary and don’t apologize. The UN will hate you; American Jews will say they are “embarrassed” by your behavior; some of your Christian supporters will accuse you of being “un-Christian” (heaven forbid!); the Catholics will condemn you (yawn); and the American government will scream and yell, either publicly or privately. BUT — you’ll be alive. And the Arabs will respect you, which is much better.

In “Don’t repair the image” you candidly hit the truth. I believe that you missed those who truly love the Jews and pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Not for anything other than your really our *neighbor. love,woody
