If it wasn't for Torah we wouldn't be here anymore.

Our religion is what has made us strong, we have been favored by Hashem.

You won't do that by telling religious or otherwise faithful Jews interested in Torah to stop "wasting time" by "arguing about Torah" or spending time on what you call "superstitions."
_
Torah is part of who we are. Apparently you can't accept that because you hate religion, but it's fact. It's part of who we are. A big part. Telling everyone to ditch it won't bring us anywhere except to confusion about who we are and where we are going.

The point is that we need to create unity of purpose between religious and non-religious Jews.

A bloodly mess indeed... Everyone seems to agree: Ovadiah, brilliant creative thinker, is wasting his and our time with some of these wild excursions into Torah.
"Shoemaker, stick to your last," i.e., stick to those matters (contemporary politics) you are fully versed in. Otherwise, you won't be taken seriously by anyone.

The above article is an example of what I was saying in another comment:
Endless, unnecessary re-re-re-reinterpretations of Torah (or Gospels, Vedas, or any other "holy" books) is a terrible loss of time and waste of great brilliant minds. It its truly mindbogglingly that a brilliant man, like Obadiah would waste his time arguing what Torah is saying about blood.
===============
When it comes to nutrition, apply scientific research, not some 3000 years old Bronze Age superstitions.
=
The thing that I am most sad about is that precisely because of such nonsensical obsession, a truly bright man like Obadiah, can only have a very marginal impact.
=
We need leaders who can unify, rather than divide Jews. A strong unified proud Jewish Israel can establish peace, and earn respect of the world including Arabs.

Ovadiah, you have not clue what you writing about.
Let those issues for the specialists. You "suppose" a lot and "perhaps" a lot. Perfection is not made of this.If you have not some things clear, ask and you'll be answered.
