The age of cheap oil created power centralization and globalization. With oil becoming more scarce, and expensive, this can change. The real question is which way, i.e. would the governments become even more powerful by controlling the rationing of oil and gas to their subjects, or will the whole thing just collapse. I personally think that without any real opposition, the first scenario is more likely, as most people don't even care. They already pay twice at the pump in Israel and W. Europe, and will pay even more.

By this token, David Hume and Adam Smith were anti-Semites, too, because they spoke about Jews as trading people - and they didn't mean it as a compliment. Face it, such a dislike of Jews is typical of Christian thinkers, and we cannot reject every one of them based on anti-Semitism.
Proudhon, as a matter of fact, called by ridding Europe of Jews, but again, that must be viewed in the context. He had a parochial mindset and hated just about every group. It is this attitude - so typical of humanity - which Obadiah accommodates in the concept of Judea, where each group lives as it wishes in its own town and excludes outsiders.

Many of todays Statist "anarchists" mistaken the cronyism and mercantilism of today for true capitalism. They can not be more further from the truth. But of course, if the corporation was on their side then its okay to them (GE, Soros, Starbucks). Private enterprises whether they be in business or religion are powerless over the individual unless backed by the full cooperation of a powerful centralized government (the ones with the big guns). Limited government (police, courts to enforce contracts), local control, personal responsibility, and reverence to G-d as the sole master is what the Torah intended before humans fall prey to their fears and demand from their prophet a earthly king, or collectively vote in autocrats and tyrants.

Good analysis.

Unfortunately even among "traditional anarchists" there were antisemites, e.g. Bakunin.
